The truth is harsh, but the truth is the greatest liberation force in the world. This story speaks volumes and should open up dialogue for people who still think that this is just how it is and Government cares about the people they rule by force. Remove all of those who are in prison related to marijuana and there will only be 45% populated prisons. |

[link to www.inthepublicinterest.org] More laws = more prisoners. Hell I just read an article about a guy who was "illegally gathering rain water" and was sentenced to 17 days in jail. In it, I said I had been selected to sit on 2 big cases...the evidence was not beyond a reasonable doubt in either case...no way I was locking them up. |

Wonder how many items within arms reach were made either by a prisoner for 25 cents an hour or a six year old Chinese kid for 25 cents a day? So many jobs have left the U.S. for China, India, Mexico, etc. via "outsourcing." And many remaining jobs have been "insourced" to the private prisons for profit prison industrial complex. Guess that leaves us to fight for the few remaining decent jobs while trying not to get locked up over something or another, right? |
