Be wise and question all that you are told
It is okay to be so bold
Blindly accepting the “truths” of others
Clouded by their perceptions only smothers
Your creative and unique being
Will no longer be prevented from seeing
Ego is the lock on the cage
Releasing ego allows us to fully engage
Find your path and stay on course
For the true path leads to source
The answers are within, not without
Listen to yourself and do not doubt
True peace and understanding are yours for the taking
For the truth is that it is you doing the making
Allow only love and banish all fear
And peace will by yours year after year

Remember back in the day
When all we did was play
Being young and free
Without thought of what might be
Adulthood was far away
The self imposed pressures of life did not yet prey
On your minds free of guilt
For our cages were not yet fully built
We looked at life with eyes open and clear
For life had given us no reason to fear
Why must adulthood bring insecurity and doubt?
These things are not internal, but come from without
Parents, schools and society train us to be
Closed minded and duty-bound so that we don’t see
This so-called reality is just an illusion
And we unknowingly keep our true selves in this seclusion
Our minds and our spirits long to be free
The power to achieve this is in you and me
The power of source is easily at hand
So let’s jump right in without fear of where to land
Ask and it is given, but know this you must
Be mindful of your question and in yourself you must trust

If it were within my power,
For just one hour,
To take us from all that we know,
I would hoover above you,
And silently love you,
From your head right down to your toe.
The love you've shown me
Lives within,like a beacon light
In my soul
More than mere pleasure,
A much greater treasure, we know
But we don't have the power,
And we don;t have the hour,
So for now the illusion will do
I hold you in my heart
As I've done from the start
The wonderous vision thats you

Can't believe I wrote this about someone I now can't stand!!!

Such beauty should be rewarded
With lines duly recorded
And sunlit sonnets from the heart,
But I've just whispers, torn apart
By my finest words, those I left unspoken,
The lips turn dry and the clichés broken,
For the unforgiving light of day
Makes cowardly hearts run for the shade
Such yearning should be unrequited,
The crowd awaits and the pyre is lighted,
But I can always deceive my Fate
Because I hide my love 'til it's too late
Venus herself should be ashamed
As I burn, within the shade,
As I'm cast over, by your Sun,
As you are my only one... |

That which we had we still possess,
Though leaves may drop and stars may fall;
No circumstance can make it less
Or take it from us, all in all.
That which is lost we did not own;
We only held it for a day--
A leaf by careless breezes blown:
No fate could take our own away.
I hold it as a changeless law
From which no soul can ever sway or swerve,
We have that in us which will draw
Whate'er we need or most deserve.
Even as the magnet to the steel
Our souls are to the best desires;
The Fates have hearts and they can feel--
They know what each true heart requires.
We think we lose when most we gain;
We call joys ended ere begun;
When stars fade out do skies complain,
Or glory in the rising sun?
No fate could rob us of our own--
No circumstance can make it less;
What time removes was but a loan,
For what was ours we still possess.

 | | Re: Does anyone here do GodLike Poetry?? | Quote | Gone to the Unseen
At last you have departed and gone to the Unseen.
What marvelous route did you take from this world?
Beating your wings and feathers,
you broke free from this cage.
Rising up to the sky
you attained the world of the soul.
You were a prized falcon trapped by an Old Woman.
Then you heard the drummer's call
and flew beyond space and time.
As a lovesick nightingale, you flew among the owls.
Then came the scent of the rosegarden
and you flew off to meet the Rose.
The wine of this fleeting world
caused your head to ache.
Finally you joined the tavern of Eternity.
Like an arrow, you sped from the bow
and went straight for the bull's eye of bliss.
This phantom world gave you false signs
But you turned from the illusion
and journeyed to the land of truth.
You are now the Sun -
what need have you for a crown?
You have vanished from this world -
what need have you to tie your robe?
I've heard that you can barely see your soul.
But why look at all? -
yours is now the Soul of Souls!
O heart, what a wonderful bird you are.
Seeking divine heights,
Flapping your wings,
you smashed the pointed spears of your enemy.
The flowers flee from Autumn, but not you -
You are the fearless rose
that grows amidst the freezing wind.
Pouring down like the rain of heaven
you fell upon the rooftop of this world.
Then you ran in every direction
and escaped through the drain spout . . .
Now the words are over
and the pain they bring is gone.
Now you have gone to rest
in the arms of the Beloved.

Understanding
I was flying through the wilderness,
of my dreams.
I saw the mountains and depths of my knowledge,
and I understood that nothing was what it seems.
My mind was bewildered,
but my curiosity was powered by my self esteem.
Understanding,
the word, the meaning, the concept
Understanding,
Knowledge is what you percept,
but the value of it all is,
understanding to the bottom of your depth.
I was suddenly falling,
and a new world appeared.
although my heartbeat was racing,
I didn’t feel scared.
What I saw I can’t describe,
but its borderless vastness was nothing I feared.
Understanding,
the word, the meaning, the concept
Understanding,
Knowledge is what you percept,
but the value of it all is,
understanding to the bottom of your depth.
What I admitted to my self,
was that the fraction called knowledge,
is nothing compared to understanding,
which is really all you have to know.
Understanding,
the word, the meaning, the concept
Understanding,
Knowledge is what you percept,
but the value of it all is,
understanding to the bottom of your depth. |

Mirror, mirror on the wall
One day I woke up to discover something was different,
my view was altered, and my values were changed.
It was not as this new day could be termed a day,
but rather a timeless fragment of a second,
spanning over most of my life.
Suddenly I understood that reflections is what you expect to see,
not describing what is to be.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, tell me what you hide,
because what I see, is not really me.
I closed my eyes, and saw a word
Responsibility was spelled out in my inner vision.
What, when, where – I didn’t understand,
I thought I was responsible for what I did.
I realized then, that it wasn’t for me only,
everyone must be themselves.
Suddenly I understood that reflections is what you expect to see,
not describing what is to be.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, tell me what you hide,
because what I see, is not really me.
The lock is you, and survival is the key
Together they make a perfect match for all to see
When the lock is turned, you see what had to be
Suddenly I understood that reflections is what you expect to see,
not describing what is to be.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, tell me what you hide,
because what I see, is not really me.

I have sat here and pondered the many horizons
of the emotions that drift through my heart and
I recollect the tears, the laughter, the heartache
and the glory. And I wonder how it was, that I
made the journey into today.
Then you stray into my thoughts, and I recall how
many times you held my hand and guided me through
the darkness and showed me the light. I think of
the laughter you gave to me, the smiles you brought
to my eyes, and the warmth you poured into my heart.
For those many gifts you have offered me, I feel
compelled to give something in return. But what gift
is worthy of such a friend as you? Only the finest delights
are suitable for such a friend as you. But I am not
wealthy in a monetary fashion, and haven’t the means
to give such a wondrous gift.
So I sit asking myself what I have to offer, and just what
gift is worthy. So I give to you something special to me.
Not a material object to be looked at or used, but rather
a place where one can rest easy and drift into serenity.
Close you eyes if you will and take your thoughts to a
place where light dances across clear blue lakes and
enchanting evergreens offer shelter and blue skies bring
the warmth of the sun. Where a song is whispered to you
from the doves high above, and the scents of the flowers
ease your mind. Here in this special place you have
wings to fly and float on warm gentle breezes. And you can
see a vast array of colors burning into the distance. Here
you are at one with the angels, and you can be at peace in
your heart.
For if you can see my special place, it is yours to call home
and you can always close your eyes and return again. So
please take my humble offering, and go there often, knowing
that in my heart I am with you in a place in my mind. This
is my gift for you, as you are my special friend. |
