Re: What does this mean? "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."
It's basic mass mind-control, 101.

Tell the oppressed and weak that they're "special" and that they'll get their reward - soon! - and they'll never rebel, they'll just keep waiting and take pride in their suffering as if it makes them "blessed" :P

The meek won't inherit anything except a slave collar (or microchip, as the case may be)... at least not if we go by this definition:

Re: What does this mean? "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."
The truly meek are those that are peaceful BECAUSE they are not afraid. Meekness is not a sign of weakness, it is the greatest sign of strength.

The truly meek have no desire to fight because they understand that death is an illusion. They live what they understand to be true and real...that they are spiritual beings having a physical experience.

Those that fear greatly and cower out of weakness are not the meek referred to by that scripture.

Those that enjoy contention, competition and confrontation are lost to the mechanical instinctive mind. They walk asleep....slaves to the body.

These will not survive to the next physical age...but no problems...they will have as many chances as they want to return home....they too are spiritual beings having a physical experience!

Re: What does this mean? "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."
On the face of it it appears stupid. Thats because it is.
Actually it is a mis traslation of the Greek. ( God only knows what Jesus actually said in Aramaic.. or if he ever made the S O T M))

The word translated into "meek" in the King James Bible.. better translates as "slow to anger". Perhaps "even tempered".
Suddenly it makes sense! Duh.

There are many such mistakes in the Bible.

Look at it in reverse. They are not blessed at all.

Inheriting the Earth means reincarnating here time and time again.

It means being addicted to the things of the earth.

Now if it said blessed are the meek for they will inherit heaven then it would be a good thing.

meek in Strong's Concordance
6035 anav (aw-nawv);probably from 6031; depressed(fig.), in mind(gentle) or circumstances (needy, espec. saintly): -- humble, lowly, meek, poor. Compare 6041

6031 anah (aw-naw); a prim. root [possibly rather ident. with 6030 through the idea of looking down or browbeating]; to depress lit. or fig. tran. or intr. (in various applications as follows); - abase self, afflict (-ion, self), chasten self, deal hardly with, defile, exersize, force, gentleness, humble (self), hurt, ravish

6041 aniy (aw-nee); from 6031; depressed, in mind or circumstances; - afflicted, humble, lowly, needy, poor.

In other words after the horror of the seven year tribulation including the last world war, Plant X skirting the earth, throwing debris into the ocean and causing earthquakes, tsunamis, volcano eruptions and some crazy dude thinking he should be the king of earth(anti-christ)I think that any survivers will be severely depressed, browbeat, humbled, afflicted, needy and poor.

Blessings, Sunny1

The meek are the ones who live in peace both in heart and mind.
They are non religious.
They are the ones who find pleasure in nature.
they have no attachments to the past and live only in the moment,it is they who will be awake enough to take advantage of the shift/rapture.

Per my Stong's Concordance, the word 'meek' are different in 'Blessed are the meek' which is #4289 which is translated as 'readiness' 'willingness'

and the one used by Jesus, "I am meek and lowly of heart..." is 4285, which means leading the way for others, defer, prefering others.

It means if you are able in this life to humble yourself before yourself and the great I AM then you shall recieve that which you desire, if you desire the earth you shall inherit it, if you wish for celestial glory, it shall be yours.

Many times, this causes confusion, when you mistranslate words like this.

You must go to the Greek dictionary when researching the New Testament.

The words are completely different and have completely different meaning.

Meek has NOTHING to do with depressed, or browbeating, or hurt or affliction or anything like that!

You cannot use an ENGLISH dictionary either.

And the word has nothing to do with control.

It is a willingness of spirit.

The Greek word is promthumos - alacrity, ready willing, forward in spirit.

As in ready, willing, and able to do God's work.

That is the word used for the Beatitudes.

The word for meek used by Jesus as a description for Himself means deference, preference, as in He leads in such as way that He shows deference for others as He leads the way.
