The only balls that both teams use are the "kicking" balls or the ones used for kickoffs, xpts, and fg.

Doesnt matter either way they tried to manipulate the game and they succeeded, even if both teams used the balls if the Patriots knew they were going to do this and practiced with deflated balls it would provide an unfair advantage, if anyone has ever played football and thrown a pumped up ball and a deflated ball you know its a lot easier in foul weather to throw a deflated ball because you can grip it...also hold on to it...but you also have to adjust your throw and strength because you will under throw or over throw to making it a nightmare unless you practice with it...

the only reason i dont think sports are rigged / manipulated is the fact that somewhere along the line someone scorned would have said something or something would have been leaked.

There has always been "two types" of footballs used in the game. The more roughed up surface balls are the scrimmage balls for better grip. They are used by both teams, referee managed. Did you happen to notice that on one play they stopped play to change out from a kicking ball to a scrimmage ball? Even the announcers mentioned it.

Colts defeat had nothing to do with the ball. Patriot's strong offense line was opening holes and pushing around the colts defensive line like school kids.

A few things here.

Each team provides their own 'in play' balls. The NFL checks them before the game. During play, the ball can be manipulated.

What really pisses me off is that if the NFL decided that the Pats were indeed cheating, all that happens is a loss of draft pick. They still get the spoils and riches that come with a super bowl.


Next. My wife doesn't know a thing about football, but being a good sport she will sit and watch with me and ask me good questions.
Last night during the Seahawks game, and keep in mind she doesn't care who wins, she asked me if this game was fixed. She said it looks like it is scripted.


Is football fixed? Is it entertainment to keep the masses distracted, is it about the $$$ that bookies and Vegas make off these games?
