the "if you don't believe in Jesus, you will burn in hell" teaching is a heresy. there is nothing scriptural that backs it up. it's simply not there.

Is it fair that the Bible says people can get into heaven by simply believing in Jesus, when there might be some far better people around who might go to hell simply because they didn't believe in him?

This question derives from a misunderstanding. When Jesus said that anyone who believes in him will have eternal life, the implication of his word believe has been lost in many Bible translations; it actually had the connetation of not only believing, but also obeying. The Jews would have understood that actions would automatically follow from true faith, and it wouldn't be true faith without them. (Though the true meaning of the word believe has been lost in many translations, the principle is spelled out in so many New Testament verses that it doesn't matter.)

Lucky them - perhaps they won't have had the striving for equilibrium brainwashed out of them. They would certainly stand a better chance after death of getting closer to a peaceful existance. The rest of us have to work really hard to see through the deception of the dogma - if we genuinely want to know what JC was trying to say. Unfortunately most choose to remain blind - won't help them later, but it is a choice.

There's more to faith than avoiding hell. Thinking in terms of benefit and punishment is pretty damned selfish. Living righteously has worldly consequences, and Christians believe it will ultimately lift all of mankind from its fallen state.

No, believing "in" something doesn't make a blind bit of difference. Understanding the concept that was being put across is an entirely different thing. Unfortunately the concept was deliberately obfuscated, but not sufficiently for it to be completely eradicated - it's still discernable to those who want to properly understand, and is actually very simple when found.

Basically the concept is balance and equilibrium.

there is choice and free will.

In order to have equilibrium, excess or deficit MUST be addressed, but there is choice.

Does one wish to have excess now and suffer loss later?

Does one wish to have deficit now, and recieve gain later?

Does one wish to maintain equilibrium as far as possible now, and suffer minimum loss or recieve minimum gain later?

It does not matter which choice one makes, since whatever they choose will HAVE to be addressed at some point, if one ever wishes to achieve peace and tranquility, which is "Heaven". The alternative is anxiety and unease at not being in equilibrium, and is called "Hell".

The only impossibility is what religion teaches, and that is that it is possible to reach equilibrium without having to offset excess or deficiency. That is impossible, and is the Great Deception of the God-virus.

JC, whether real or fictional, tried to counter the deception and was crucified for his troubles. His words were also crucified and twisted to try to further the deception.

There are only the three choices as above - choose wisely.

In darkest Africa there are missions and charities everywhere. In Commuinist China there are Christian churches springing up. Maybe in N Korea there are a few hapless lumps that haven't heard it, but no way there's a billion of them.

Nobody will live out their lives and die without hearing it, and if they did, this would be taken into account.

1. If one chooses excess now, that is his choice, no concern of yours:

"If a man takes your jacket, give him your coat as well, if he forces you to walk one mile with him, walk two".

2. If one chooses deficiency now, he can only expect "gain" later:

"The meek shall inherit the Earth"

3. If one chooses equilibrium now, he will have minimum re-balancing later:

"Though shall reap as thy sow".
