The best views of Ceres yet: Dawn probe snaps incredible images
Cool gif at link.

"As the Dawn spacecraft closes in on Ceres, new images have emerged showing the solar system's largest asteroid at 27 pixels across - three times better than the images taken in early December.

Over the next weeks, Dawn will provide increasingly sharper images of the icy world, leading up to the spacecraft's capture into orbit around Ceres on March 6.

'We know so much about the solar system and yet so little about dwarf planet Ceres. Now, Dawn is ready to change that,' said Marc Rayman, Dawn's chief engineer and mission director, based at Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California."

Wow amazing! They say it's spewing some kind of gas into it's atmosphere. You can sure see it in that gif! The shiny white round thing makes no sense though, if it has clouds above it, you'd expect the shiny part to be occluded, but it isn't. Must mean it's above the cloud layer?

I get a strange feeling about Ceres. Not sure why. But something is up with that planet.
