The traitors are the ones who run this country. There will be no turning it around while they are in power. Speaking of fleeing a country for something better... Isn't that what our original colonists and founding father's did? Ya know, leaving England to establish a land of opportunity? Then fighting the Revolutionary War to establish independence... By your definition, they were traitors too. But I'm glad they were, because if they hadn't been, this once great country would have never been founded. However, the thing is, America is not so great anymore. It was once. It could have been magnificent, but it's been abused and corrupted. I'm not saying it can't be saved, because it can, but it would need a major overhaul. If someone else has found happiness, what's the point in pissing all over it unless you're jealous and bitter? Misery loves company, I guess. Really appreciate the info you've been giving in here 9037. I find it extremely interesting. I'm starting to make a bit of money online as well, so I can work remotely. I'm still trying to get firmly established at the moment. Once I do, I'll definitely find a lot more freedom. Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing. Hey, no problem.. Different ID# today, but that's because I'm currently sitting outside at a cafe, drinking a coffee and working. It's in the 80s today, and out of the corner of my eye (I'm TRYING to focus on work) all I see is asses & legs in dresses/pants, long black hair and gorgeous dark skin going past my table, minute after minute.. Every single girl I crack a smile at and make eye contact with smiles back - and I'm an average dude. That alone tells you something about the culture, respect, and friendliness. (I might get a little extra attention for being a gringo, I dunno). Anyway, there's much much more beside that here. Anyone thinking of expat-ing to Mexico should check out Merida, first and foremost. It's a city, but it's cheap and you can get anything here, public transportation is $.50 for the bus. Huge mix of food, from Mexican to Italian, French, Peruvian, Chinese, everything. It's a good place to start when familiarizing yourself with the real Mexico. Anyone who's serious about coming here, or any expats from this forum that are already here, feel free to drop an email or whatever. I'm always down to hang and my couch is open for any GLP'er passing through. If you can get yourself setup to work remotely, now is the time. Mexico is like the US was in the 50's, there's also a lot of opportunity to bring business/services here that have proven beneficial in the states years or even decades ago. Good luck man, keep at it and get the hell out of there while you can.
