I CANNOT control them. Ive been trying since I was 10 years old.Its panic disorder. Its a real thing. Ive been to hospitals, therapy, neurologist, psychitrists, psychologists. Its not something I can 'just get over' or control. My body reacts no matter what my mind says. You could never understand unless you suffer from the same thing. You wouldnt believe how horrible and scary it is. I had to switch to home schooling at an early age due to panic attacks, social anxiety, depression, and a few other mental illnesses (wont divulge). Its ruined my life and many times I think about commiting suicide. But its not my fault I was born this way. One day I hope I can be 'normal' and happy for once. |

Ive been trying my ass off to get past these panic attacks, but when I cry uncontrollably, shake/trmble, im so light headed I fall to the ground and think im going to faint, my hearts pounding to the point where it feels like im having a panic attack, I gasp for air cause I cant breathe , I feel like im going to die, and I get extremelt painful migraines from it. Oh and they last anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Even after im still shaking and crying. I dont have your average 'anxiety' attacks. This shit causes very bad physical things to happen. And like I said. I have many other disorders besides panic disorder. I know theres no danger. I know theres no reason for them to happen. I know nothings wrong, but thats how my body reacts. I cannot stop it. No pills have ever helped. Ive tried everything. It pisses me off when people tell me I need to get over it. You have no freaking idea. |

People who would not normally qualify for other forms of welfare were placed on SSI roles to not only hide their numbers, but also to provide payments to people who were out of work, would probably never work again, and were made redundant. So, most of those who lost unemployment too are more likely to be taking SSI legitimately. ***This*** SSDI is for those that paid in. SSI is for those that didn't or didn't pay in long enough. Either way, fraud in all systems. We'll never get rid of it. Only thing that ticks me off worse than those abusing it, is those that need it, paid into it their entire working lives (working in pain, extreme hardship) and are denied. It's totally messed up for the legit people. |

Ssi is for those who are disabled but have not worked enough. That's not true - you can get SSDI up to retirement (Social Security) age, and if you worked long enough and paid into the system, and then became ill and/or disabled. It is "insurance" to cover lost wages which you paid into while working, for if you lose the ability to work. The amount a person gets depends on their previous wages, and also if they have dependents. If they have dependents, they get an extra 50% of their benefit amount added to their check for the kids, but doesn't matter how many kids, one or ten, you get the same 50%. Some get regular reviews to see if they can get back off benefits or partially off benefits and do some type of work. Some conditions are considered more for sure permanent than others which may or may not improve, just depends. |
