White silhouette, alien?

Has anyone experienced an alien encounter similar to mine? I always thought of it more on the ghostly side, but now I am not too sure.

I was sitting in my room many years ago. Watching tv on the couch. Something caught my attention in the corner of my eye, I had a quick glance, and then looked again and froze.
There was a white silhouette figure, human shape, about 6ft tall. I couldn't make out any facial features or clothing. Just a white light. It walked into the room and walked past me toward the window. It turned around and walked back again, but stopped at the edge of the couch where i was sitting. It then turned and walked to the centre of the couch, walked right into the couch standing directly over me and staring down at me.
I was frozen with fear. I managed to jump up and run down the stairs, i never looked back.
