I need some good software for video capture

I have a dash cam that collects in avi format and it creates two videos in the same file as two separate screens.

VLCplayer will open and play them perfectly in their separate sceens.

Windows media player only opens the front view.

What I would like is some sort of screen capture that also collects the audio because when I play the video back in its factory software it shows such things as speed and map which is not in any of the software. Unfortunately I have no way to upload what I see on the screen to the YouTube.

Got any software suggestions?
