Protesters throw rocks, police respond with water cannons & tear gas #Pristina #Kosovo

Rooters - Riot police and protesters fought running battles in the Kosovo capital Pristina on Tuesday as anti-government protests erupted into the worst unrest since the former Serbian province seceded in 2008.

A Reuters reporter saw masked police officers firing tear gas and water cannon, trying to disperse about 2,000 protesters who had taken to the streets in rallies organized by opposition political parties.

Ambulances attended to dozens of injured people as police pursued protesters into side streets around central Pristina.

PRISTINA, Kosovo (AP) — Thousands of ethnic Albanians protested in Kosovo's capital Saturday against a minority Serb politician's denial of war crimes against them and demanded the government take over the management of the country's crucial mining complex.

Waving Albanian flags and banners, they called for the dismissal of the Serb Minister Aleksandar Jablanovic, whose comments minimizing Serbia's role in the 1998-99 Kosovo war especially angered the families of some 1,000 ethnic Albanians still missing.

Police estimated 12,000 protesters showed up. A handful threw rocks at the government building in Pristina, breaking several windows.

Albanians give less than a fuck about religion, it's albanians that fought for western values.

If anyone is converted is serbs, that came from russian mountains and speak a language that resembles no other language in the world.

Albanians were always there, since the dawn of time, and albanian language is pure descendant of the indo-european branch.

This protest happened because a pig that albanians allowed in the government offended albanian mother's whose kids got killed and daughters raped during the war. There is no ethnic tensions in Kosovo initiated by Albanians, it's always done by serbs, but slowly they are getting domesticated. Serbs are allowed in institutions, they have seats in the government, it's a second language in a country that is multi ethnic, multi religion, including atheists. Serbs need to understand it's the 21 century and nobody will waste time with their fanatic, back in the day mindset.
