Anonymous Coward User ID: 1882328 United States 01/30/2015 04:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I tried trading once. I worked out a system of Fibonacci moving averages that was uncanny for picking tops and bottoms. To prevent the broker from controlling my money or having any information on what I was doing, I tried putting my trades in only at the last second. That is, for instance, I would watch the trades trending along, but I had a bottom picked for the washout, with the trade ready to go as soon as the price started to move. As soon as I went to pull the trigger on the trade, my computer would die. The stock always went to just pennies below my mark and bounced back into the original channel within minutes. Each such trade would have netted me from 8 to 12 thousand dollars within minutes. The first time the breakdown happened, I thought it was a glitch, but it happened dozens of times - every time I pressed the trade button. When I called the broker, she was quick to protest that they weren't hutting down my computer - before I even said anything. I decided it was a crooked scam and got out of it. On the other hand, I don't blame the brokers for not wanting to give away the lion's share of the best trades. They would go out of business too quickly. |

It was BS. When I merely watched, the computer never went down, even when volumes were much higher. It only blacked out when I went to make a trade, and usually on very ordinary volume. |
