Being spiritual, believing in "God" whatever that means beyond just spiritual, and organized "Religion" are very different.

There is as much "wrong doing" in the Christian churches (not all 100%) by their members and Clergy.

Every educated person should read the Bible and every person the new testament.

For even if a person does not believe it 100% there is much good and truth that can benefit a society, people and families.

Having read it myself, free will is essential to our growth, and it is my belief that Jesus, or God does not "Control" the Christian Church 100%

There is much power with the Holy Spirit, and it seems obvious why governments would be opposed as they want/need to be served first. It is a conflict of interest.

There are "Bad" people and governments everywhere, but that does not make everyone involved "bad" either.

Generalizing does no one any favors.

The "truth" is the truth regardless of who believes it.

Someday the condition of your soul will (God willing) be considered simple science.

The simple science of Positive vs Negative, or Love vs Fear, knock and the door will be opened....

Do you see any value to an organization of religion? How would you find out about spirituality without a infrastructure of some type? Did anyone tell you how to approach your spirituality or did you discover it all on your own?

'Religion' is supposed to scripturaly educate people so they would control their own selves and live by the Golden Rule, protecting the rights and human dignity of all, to ensure civilization. However it has been used to fleece the flock with hellfire threats which their clientele must bribe their way out of when the plate is pa$$ed.

I get the impression, from reading the threads on here, that the majority of the posters, Americans in particular, are full on, you'll burn in hell if you don't believe the same as me, religious zealots.

That poll result, assuming it's real as I've not seen the actual poll, gives me reason to think maybe you lot aren't all fucking mental after all :)


Obviously, of that 12%, there will be a large percentage (probably a large majority if the poll result to dominating bibletard post ratio is anything to go by) that still believe in their religion and their version of God, without wanting to ram it down everybody else's throats. Believing in live and let live over convert or burn. So it'd be even more interesting to me to see the breakdown of that 12%.

The OT believers were kept in reserve waiting on the promise ( The Cross ), read Romans 1:18-22. Prior to the Bible being completed God spoke through his prophets to the people and the one's who had spiritual ears to hear were qualified to receive salvation at God's appointed time. No one can come to the Father unless God draws his ( means to drag ). God also says none of his sheep will be loss and that his sheep will hear his voice and will not follow a stranger.

You did not answer my question. Without the infrastructure that printed the bible and other study materials how would you know you were elect? You believe God would talk to you personally and you would have no need of the printed scriptures?

Possibly, one can deduce many things form polls but absolute science it is not!!

Organized religion is a tool of control. If a man is telling you what to dp in the name of _______, you absolutely must look into why. Generally people need to have something too look up to, its lonely at the top of the chain. When you bring the abusive nature of man into the fold, it can quickly turn into a sham.

So both. I however do have Christ in my life. I have this through my own spiritual journey. I came to Him by my own conclusion, not what some dude told me...

So, in short, you have to look and see if it jives with your own convictipns, not some other dudes.
