Anyone deal with naysayers and haters?

Been a welder/machinist for 30 plus years. Enjoy restoring cars and fabbing up offroad stuff... anyways helping out my kid with an offroad vehicle. Coming along nice. Custom engine paint etc. Anyways he showed some guys at his work - currently working on an exo cage, and these guys sounded jealous and poo_pooed the exo cage etc. I don't understand some people...
