And Saul/Paul was such a good double agent. Quoting: alto 131447Please say more. Hogwash. Saul/Paul would agree with the OP. He fought with Peter over the same thing: Paul Opposes Peter 11When Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong. 12Before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. 13The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray. 14When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs? 15"We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' 16know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified... ...for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" |

This was from Galatians, and he goes further: No Other Gospel 6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! ------ And from Philippians: 2Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh. 3For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh— 4though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; 6as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for legalistic righteousness, faultless. 7But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. 10I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. ========= So, as you can see, Paul was NOT enamored of the Zionist Christians at all. |

You know nothing. John was the disciple that was closest to Jesus. He did not spend any time with Paul. Sheesh! These muslims think they know a thing about Christianity, it's a joke. You know nothing. |

Let me explain something to you, Mr. Muslim. What we know of Jesus Christ is in the Old Testament. Most of the Old Testament is a 'shadow' of those things that are made alive in Christ. Jesus just did these things when He was on earth, He just fulfilled them. From the Passover meal, to the Feast of Tabernacles, to the predictions of His suffering, his atonement for the sin of the world, even the fact that he would heal the sick, cure the deaf and blind, to the end of the world scenarios, the New Testament is just a completion of the Old. The Old Testament says what Jesus will do, and then the New Testament shows Jesus doing it. And Paul did not have any influence upon the Old Testament. It was completely written before he was born. Yes, Paul knew the Old Testament and explained it to Christians in a way that is very beautiful, but he does not change any of that message. Why don't you try reading it yourself? www.bible.com |
