Quoting: Hawk-02 A tearful Anthony Senatore, who said he is tormented by Brandon Holt's death, apologized to the family of the boy he said was like a member of his own family. He defended himself as a responsible and upstanding man who happened to make a bad mistake by not securing the gun used to kill his neighbors' child. "I am not a monster as some have portrayed me to be," Senatore said, reading from a letter he wrote to the judge." I have lived and worked in Ocean County all my life. I have been a God-fearing law-abiding citizen. He said that as a sportsman and a hunter, he is no different from others pursuing their hobbies. But, he said, he made "one horrible mistake, one terrible lapse in judgment which will haunt me for the remainder of my days." He said he cannot begin to know the suffering of Brandon's parents. "My wife and my children are my life, which makes what happened...so very painful," Senatore said. "I cannot begin to fathom the loss of any of my children, therefore I cannot imagine the depth of pain and sorrow that Ron and Christine experience on a daily basis." I was scared of them and imagined them going off. Just my imagination made me stay away. Let alone my dad saying "don't ever touch these", being a child of higher IQ I admired and obeyed my parents. This 6 year old must have been of low mental ability. At 6 you are old enough to speak English, know right from wrong, and understand danger. |

I did however teach my children about them and proper safety, but a gun locked up in a safe is useless. I also never used those dumb wall socket plastic plugs, instead I taught my kids not to stick their finger in the damn electric outlet...guess I should also mention I actually watched my children and played with them, I didn't click on a tv and leave for the day. I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

At 6 you are old enough to speak English, know right from wrong, and understand danger. The boy was 4 years old when it happened. The 4-year-old son was playing in a yard when he went inside and retrieved his father's loaded .22-caliber rifle from a bedroom. When he came back out, he fired a single shot that struck 6-year-old Brandon Holt in the head. In addition to the loaded rifle, four other firearms were found in Senatore's bedroom, all unsecured, close to ammunition and accessible to his three children, the prosecutor's office said. Hell my kids don't even know what I have. And they are locked 3 ways with different combos and keys. My wife doesn't even know. This guy should get some jail time for not taking appropriate measures to make sure kids can't get to the guns. He should know damn well that the kids are eventually going to do everything in their power to find the gun and check it out. That's what all kids do. Especially boys. So assuming he just had a pistol laying around, the father is guilty of that child's death. |

It still comes down to adult supervision when they are that young. I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

Either you don't understand the concept of negligence or you're in denial because you did the same stupid shit yourself. |
