That’s the problem putin does not want a peaceful solution. HE WANTS WAR. He is using all this political theater to just buy him time to get his forces ready.

Him building bunkers and other stuff over the last several years all points to him preparing to launch a first strike.

He has just been waiting for the US nuke arsenal to get below a specified level where he thinks that it is no longer capable of delivering a death blow to the combined Russia and china forces.

He truly believes that he is in a position to win a nuclear war with the US. He truly thinks that if Russia and china attack at the same time then both countries can come out in a survivable situation while at the same time delivering a death blow to the US.

Evidently he thinks the time is now right for the attack.

That will then give them (china and Russia) the ability to use conventional forces to concur the rest of Europe at his own leisure. The rest of Europe will not stand a chance after the US is taken out of the picture.

Putin is playing for keeps.

If you can’t honestly see the things Russia has been doing over the last several years that has made everyone’s alarm bells go off constantly, then discussing the point is kind pointless.

I have personally seen it coming for over 10 years now. It has been open and plain as day.

The sanctions and attempted containment of Russia is a last ditch effort to try and prevent them from carrying out something they have been almost openly preparing for for years.

People keep asking why would the west and NATO do all this against Russia when they know Russia has that many nukes. That answer of bone chillingly simple.

That is the pathetic part about all this stupidity. The population has been brainwashed with the idea so many times that the US has the nukes to wipe out the world X times over, that when they are presented with simple figures, their brain just shuts down.

They can’t seem to be able to accept the fact that the US does NOT have enough nukes to wipe out it’s outside threats, let alone the entire world.

It’s almost a divide by zero situation for them. Their reality can not handle, or explain such a fact.

No, the rest of the world does not fear the US wiping them out. But the US better fear Russia and the china wiping the US out.

The disarmament the US has already done up to this point has just opened up the possibility of it’s advisories intentionally starting a nuke war. I guess that is one reason people can’t handle the idea. Disarmament was suppose to prevent nuclear war, not make it more likely.

The supreme irony is the people fighting for disarmament to prevent an all out nuke war may have just guarantied that one is going to happen.

I think both sides are preparing for a large war in Europe, but neither side anticipates it starting yet. More like 2020 or so. And the longer they can put it off, the stronger Russia will get.

NATO efforts to establish command centers in Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and the Baltics are part of that. Eventually they will facilitate massive and rapid reinforcement of forces from America and Britain.

I don't think they are counting on Germany and France to get involved, despite their NATO commitments, so they probably won't be able to use German and Dutch ports to deploy from. They're probably working out how they can run convoys into the Baltic and Black Seas under sustained Russian submarine and air attacks. No doubt Russia will also be bombing Polish and Romanian ports.
