There are plenty of places in the bible that tell us the great tribulation in 3 1/2 years. Since we know certain events occur in the great tribulation i.e. the woman who flees into the wilderness, and the 2 witnesses - we can compare their numbers. What we get is the threescore means 60. Rev 18:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Dan 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. Supporting verse for Daniel 12:11 that this is the start of the great tribulation would be: Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place.... 21 For then shall be great tribulation Once again we can use verses from Matthew 24 to support Rev 12:6 ....the woman flees Matt 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation... 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains...Additional verses supporting that this is the great tribulation and the period of time the antichrist is in power: Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. Rev 12:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
