OP, a bit of what you wrote is correct, but some of the stuff you are taking literally, that was symbolic, like the 2 witnesses, the person standing up high.

And as for Matthew 24:14, the Internet wasn't needed for that, as Jehovah's Witnesses have been preaching "this good news of the kingdom" door to door all around the earth for decades.

The part about everyone being able to see and hear of reports of wars, and stuff like that mentioned in Matthew chapter 24, I can see how the Internet, and the TV -the news, and phones make this be seen all around the earth.

Yes, JW's have been going into all the nations and doing a commendable job.

However, the interpretations of the gospel we've been given for thousands of years have come from men of all walks and prejudices.

This time it's directly from heaven, so there is no chance it's being misinterpretated.

Rev 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth....

6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people

-----

This is the gospel Jesus in Matthew 24 is talking about in the 'last days'.

So far we don't know of any group - that has a song no man can learn.

Just wanted to add - that God makes sure everyone on the face of this earth hears the gospel, so they are without excuse when they face him judgement day.

Romans 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse

End times will be like birth pangs - mild and increase in frequency and pain, until the birth.

Perhaps in heaven there is a language that one can only learn there:

Re: Prophecies Jesus gave in Mathew 24 and Revevelation require internet and smartphone
The last post was completely mangled:

As the answer (Gotanswers) above suggests the mark and the number are not necessarily the same thing - Although it appears from the next verse ALL must take the mark:

Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72569879

All must take the mark

But in order to buy or sell - you have a choice:

The mark or the name or the number.

My thoughts are you need the mark - possibly for communications to take place i.e. supplants the smartphone.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73892141

One thing to note in Rev 13:17 is it doesn't say just victory over his number, but victory over the number of his name.

Many people speculate that 666 is the number of letters the AC has in his name i.e. Edward has 6 letters.

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Notice it also says - the name of the beast.

Perhaps we need the name of the beast to figure out the number of his name?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73928595

If you do calculate the number of the name as in
Rev 13:17.... the number of his name....by adding the letters together - we can get closer to who it is.

That is only people who have 18 letters in their name.

If the antichrist is alive today and is in the public arena as I believe he is - we can eliminate those who do not have 18 letters in their name :)

Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John all told us about Jesus and what he said would happen in end times.

Here's a sample from Matthew 24

We will know times of sorrows are here when we see

Nation against nation - kingdom against kingdom

Many will be offended - this is off the charts; Political correctness has reached the point of insanity.

Evil will be everywhere - it is - and it too is reaching unbelievable levels.

Christians persecuted and killed. Last 2 years have seen the worst time ever for christians. Apostasy is everywhere.

The gospel is reaching all nations.

False prophets will teach a false gospel; think Islam

----

This is just a sampling of what Jesus said would happen

Here's more end time prophecies:

2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

These victorious saints were standing on a sea of glass...

What is this sea of glass?

Chances are that John was trying to convey the vivid brilliance, vast expanse, and lucid purity of what he saw...

Rev 15:2....having the harps of God.

Small excerpt from biblegateway commentaries:

Evidently they are the same group as the 144,000 in the preceding chapter, except they are no longer on "Mount Zion" but in heaven, with harps given them by God (v. 2), corresponding to the harps from heaven that played the "new song" that only the 144,000 were able to learn (14:2-3). Having learned the song, they are now ready to sing it....

Just wanted to add - the prophecies in Rev were made around 2000 years ago.

To wit, we've never had a period of time like we have today.

Fukushima is destroying 1/3rd of the oceans of the world.

We have an entire world that can watch the 2 witnesses lay in the street dead for 3 days.

We have and economic disorder where if the dollar collapses - the entire world will financially collapse.

If this happens we could end up with the mark - where we can't buy or sell anything without it.

All these prophecies told to John are now true.

Correction - We have and economic disorder
to - We have an economic disorder

There are end time prophecies over 2000 years made by the major and minor prophets that are true today.

We are told in the bible that a prophet must be 100% correct in what they prophecize; Not 99 or less.

So far every one of Jesus' prophecies have come true.

God’s faithful people have gained the victory over the beast. Having fear of the Lord is healthy.

It's also good, because it saves us from caving into our own sinful nature. That's why hearing someone is God-fearing tends to makes us trust that person more.

Living in end times can provoke paralyzing fear - but recognizing it's God's will, knowing he will see us through the storm, no matter what form it takes, is actually quite comforting.

We honor God by glorifying him; recognizing it is only through his grace that he sent his son to die for our sins.

It's God that provides our food and shelter, and undeserving mercy.

Rev 15:4 ...For thou only art holy -

There are passages in the bible that infer men are holy under some circumstances.

But the Holiness of God is far above that of man.

No evil can touch God -

Whereas, evil surrounds men everyday of their lives.

This is why Paul says:

No man is righteous - not one.

That's why we pray for strength and the ability to ward off satan's temptations.

Rev 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name?

We honor God by glorifying him; recognizing it is only through his grace that he sent his son to die for our sins.

It's God that provides our food and shelter, and undeserving mercy.

Rev 15:4....for all nations shall come to worship before thee....

When it speaks of all nations - it literally means all nations; including the nations of islam

Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts....

If 'the current world order' isn't ended that way - it will end in some way.

The beast will receive a mortal wound at some point.

US may not be included in the new world order; but the healed beast (EU?) will be.

Rev 15:4 ....For thy judgements are made manifest

From biblehub:

...for thy judgments are made manifest; or "thy justifications", or "righteousnesses"; the perfect righteousness of Christ, and the doctrine of justification by it, will now be most clearly revealed, and generally received, in opposition to the Popish doctrine of merits, works of supererogation, &c. or the judgments of the King of saints upon antichrist, who will now avenge their blood, which he has shed; see Rev 17:1 and the justice and righteousness of his proceedings against the man of sin will be notorious and manifest to all, and be acknowledged, as in Rev 16:5.
