Thanks but I have plenty of karma for an upgrade. I haven't bothered with upgrades before because I didn't need them, my threads usually move along smoothly, but I guess if I was an upgraded user I could have kept the thread on track without IDW turning it into the "the crrazzzy world of IDW show." Do you know if I need a gold star or a silver star to delete posts ?

I'm glad you enjoyed it, it's a lot more fun when it doesn't descend into anarchy though. Once the thread is tidied up there will be a lot more good stuff to investigate. I just need to put IDW back in his box, then we can get back to looking at thermal environment on the Moon.

Seriously. This is a conspiracy site. I may have taken a few Calc classes in my time. But most here haven't. And for those reading, as another independent observer, this whole thread is full of presumptive mathematical bullshit from several people who would like you to think they know what they're talking about and they are correct. That's not the case, and I'm not falling for the "well prove I'm wrong tactic" because that's just a derailment strategy and 90% of the readers aren't going to be able to discern whether either of us are correct.

On a side note, Apollo landings did probably happen, we can currently go back, we have the technology, and no, it isn't that expensive to return, and we have many reasons to return. The reason we don't go back isn't very well explained at all considering the crust of the moon is rich in some rather valuable elements and it's a very natural next step into interplanetary exploration.

And lastly, anyone reading this thread who would believe a 9/11 shill about any type of math, your logic is completely beyond me. I'm still lost as to how a certain few posters on this site have any credibility, OP being one of them. But I'm sure this comment will be deleted just like a bad review on Pitchfork right after the poorly reviewed band gets a Grammy nomination.

The freezer was because IDW didn't understand the material an object was made out of was irrelevant to the equilibrium temperature of a surface, it was what its surface a/e ratio is that counts. As for the cube you need to go back and read this to understand.

You have consistently got this wrong and it's not thermal equilibrium, its equilibrium temperature. If you had tried to learn anything in this thread you would have know by page 3 that it is the surface which determines the equilibrium temperature, not what the bulk of the material is made from. It is this refusal to move forward and learn which makes you presence here counter productive. How many times have you been told over the month and you never learned this simple and essential fact?
