Some of us are also psychologists, but not bound by the need for conformity to the political correctness of a field of so-called science. We have observed human nature over many years, thought deeply about those observations, and reached some conclusions. Those of us who were honest eventually became independent thinkers and truth seekers. Having first studied one or more scientific subjects, we moved on to the study of the scientists themselves, and noticed some very interesting things. We learned that they are human just like the rest, and therefore subject to several kinds of errors that block access to truth. Some examples: • Fear of being considered “different”, leading to conformity to the groupthink of their peers. • Anger that anyone would question their intelligence. • Anger at anyone that would suggest or imply that they were not totally unbiased reporters of truth. • Ignorant, due to not studying fields outside of theirs, but which have important bearings on the conclusions in their own fields. • Oversimplifying; not embracing the full complexity of the situation. • Lazy, not putting out the efforts to make complete investigations. • Dishonest, ignoring or trying to suppress facts which do not support the story they tell. When an independent thinker who is also honest has observed human behavior for years, he or she realizes that “conspiracies”, i.e. deliberate attempts to conceal truth and mislead others, are practiced regularly by a portion of the human race, and probably have been for as long as humans have existed on this planet or any other. In other words, conspiracies are a fact of Nature. |
