Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46308100 They tell us it takes light 8 minutes to get to the earth from the sun but seriously, none of us can verify this from home. Until someone can explain how they measured something as fast as light in a common sense way and I can even reproduce the experiment myself, I call bullshit on their speed of light numbers. No way that shit is some Universal constant either. That makes no sense. If you're going the speed of light and shine a flashlight forward, the light from the flashlight is going twice the speed of light. Raise a B.S. flag if you think Einstein was full of shit and overrated! I also read somewhere (years ago) that we will one day discover that we got Pi wrong. |

Television for example. There would need to be a defined wavelength that can be recorded. If light has a wavelengtg then it has a speed. And there is nothing yet that has been proven to be faster. Other then some experiments done with electrons and positrons. But the theory of relativity is pretty sound relating to applicable physics. The fact that the atom bomb was built proves we know the speed of light is not instant. |

Raise a B.S. flag if you think Einstein was full of shit and overrated! well, actually, within the frame of reference of the Photon itself, the photon does propagate Instantaneously: yes, it travels from one side of the Universe to the other Instantaneously. (does this imply that there is, in fact, no extension in time or space to anything? ) . |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42502605 Ppppsch. If most of you lot weren't trolls I'd want you all executed to bring up the species IQ. All the experiments sound like bullshit "Hi I'm a scientist, I can't figureout why I can't measure something faster than light so I'll deny ANYTHING can go faster than light" If you're wrong about light, I expect you to commit suicide to bring up the species IQ. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 63894219 United States 02/13/2015 07:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was already discovered and proven decades ago, even Einstein went to his death knowing he was wrong. The speed of light is transfinite just as light is transfinite. Meaning the speed can be manipulated. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 64713561 What Eintein "dicovered" was the natural speed of light observable by a human on earth which is meaningless in the whole of the universe...less than meaningless. Noe, even humans on Earth can modify the observable speed. Sucks that so many other assumptions are extrapolated from the human observed speed. The silly thing about humans is that they always think they know it all at any point in time/history. History teaches us they never did..and we never will. |

The mere fact that we have wi-fi proves the speed of light is correct because wi-fi antenna's are designed within 1mm of a mathematical equation based on the speed of light. If the speed of light was wrong, the antenna would never work and you would have no tv, wifi or many other waves which require a very precise frequency. Now kindly f&ck off, yours truly, science. |

It used to be than an electron orbitted an atom. Then it was changed to an electron cloud. How much do we really know about an atom besides that splitting it makes it go boom? Thread: SCIENCE IS THE ART Of PROPAGATING USELESS B.S. INFO THAT DOES NOT MATTER!! IT'S A SCAM PEOPLE!!!! |

While SR/GR and QM are not complete yet, there is absolutely no doubt that relativity is on the right track. There have been countless of experiments which confirm that space-time is not absolute, but relative. Clocks traveling at high speeds relative to earth, DO tick slower measured by an observer A on earth. (the fun part is that an observer B traveling with the clock would claim earth clocks to be ticking slower and both would be right :D) The problem is, that people which do not even understand how relativity was derived, believe to be entitled to an opinion, yet they have no clue what they are talking about. Understanding relativity is mind bending. But only then you are allowed to make any bold statements about if it is valid or not. |
