Did the Sikh's have access to the new invention? Seems they do speak of more than what the early telescopes could have seen. So who knows? This one is nice "From water, He created the three worlds; in each and every heart He has infused His Light." Here's a list of dates of invention for many commonly known items. The concept of the FAX dates back to 1914. |

Decide for yourself. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 128325The Sikh texts were written in the early 1600's by the Ten Guru's themselves as well as by trusted Saints of Sikhism. --------------------------------------- "The limits of the created universe cannot be perceived." Only 'recently' have we did we percieve the galaxy as infinite. --------------------------------------- "The scriptures say that there are 18,000 worlds, but in reality, there is only One Universe." Notice the word "worlds" is plural. At that time with their technology they only knew of at least a few planets, in our own Solar System. --------------------------------------- "[God] is the Master who has made the world bloom; [God] makes the Universe blossom forth, fresh and green." --------------------------------------- "Chant, and meditate on the One God, who permeates and pervades the many beings of the whole Universe." The many beings of the whole Universe? --------------------------------------- "The faithful know about all worlds and realms." "So many worlds beyond this world-so very many!" "So many Indras, so many moons and suns, so many worlds and lands." "He established the many worlds and skies." --------------------------------------- "The devotees of many worlds dwell there." "There are worlds upon worlds of His Creation." These two are by far the most interesting. --------------------------------------- "You are the One True Lord and Master of all the other beings, of so many worlds." --------------------------------------- "From water, He created the three worlds; in each and every heart He has infused His Light." What three worlds? There are many refrences to the "three worlds." --------------------------------------- "I have searched and searched [for God], across so many worlds, but without the Name, there is no peace." --------------------------------------- There are just so many regrences to 'worlds, planets, solar sytems, galaxies, beings, realms, the universe' that I could quote all day long. To search the text for yourself go to [link to www.sikhitothemax.com] and type your search in the left hand box where it says "English." What do you all think? Could the writers of the Sikh Holy Book known of other planets? Of other beings or as we would call them aliens? Did they already know many aspects of the Universe that we hold as fact today? You make some good points; however, the Galaxy is not infinite; it is indeed finite - approx. 100,000 light-years (600 quadrillion miles) across. |

What the hell are you talking about? I never said the galaxy or any galaxy for that matter is infinite. - BTW there is no need to quote my long post, in effect posting it again. --------------------------------------- And no if you commit suicide you are judged by the lord for commiting suicide...because you recant the name of the lord while killing yourself doesn't change the fact that you killed yourself. --------------------------------------- To the quantum guy: While I doubt they conceptualized atomic theory and quantum physics in the syntax we understand them as, some of the elements of subject matter they state may be inline with what we call quatum theory. |

They did have knowledge of things that we have only just learned about. Their civilization have been around for a very long time. The dark ages were a sort of going backwards for humanity. Lots of knowledge was hidden or destroyed. (The Crusades) Those in power now, their families perpetrated this on mankind and still, to this day, they attempt to deny us our divinity, by eradicating all know religions. |
