After the weekend storm, the city now has 95.7 inches of snow for the winter of 2014-15. That’s 11.9 inches away from the record of 107.6 set in 1995-96. 90.2 inches of snow have fallen in Boston since January 23. The winter of 1993-94 is currently in second place for snowiest winters with 96.3 inches. Weather record keeping began in Boston in 1891. In '95-96, for instance, Boston had already received more than half that season's total snowfall by 23 Jan. This season ('14-15) less than 6" had fallen by 23 Jan. |
