An average bank VP, take a derivatives credit risk VP, is so compartmentalise in his function that any "run" on the bank, which is not credit risk counterparty related, would happen before he hear about it from outside news source. He would be so tied up in receiving his upstream/downstream feeds, on an hourly basis, for performing his daily job, that any general bank function (like a "run") would be entirely outside his purview. |
