According to some theories, intel I3 to I7 CPUs have built in secret 3G trasnmitters that can easily transfer data when turned off if in range of a cell tower.

And this are the things we know off ..... they would never tell you about sonar application from satellites or other devices. They already can scan for living beings in a closed container just because its breathing air.

Electronics operate on scientific constants to a limited extent, programs and code are authored into existence, and there is no cosmic rule that says it has to be fair and just.

It can't... there would have to be some ungodly sophisticated and hidden wifi capabilities in the hard drive that could broadcast unnoticed. There were some rumors of this capability during the malware infection of the Iranian nuclear plant computers a few years ago -- so something like that may exist, but surely on an extremely limited basis and it required more than what can be put into the unused crawlspaces of a hard drive.

But, I can see the real possibility that one of the firmware chips inside the hard drive has a chunk of code embedded in it that makes it easier for the NSA to access the drive and pull information from it when the system is connected to the internet.

Wish them luck digging through my hard drive -- I have to be the most boring person in the world.

Consider the possibility that if they can copy files FROM your hard drive -- they can also copy the TO your hard drive. If they wanted to set-some poor bastard up, they could put a bunch of illegal porn or other fake, yet incriminating, documents on your hard drive -- and then call the police.

I so not believe most hard drives are manufactured in the usa anyway... and what makes you think that China and Russia cares about the privacy of their citizens, or those of any other country?

Instead of try to thwart any NSA program, they are either doing the same thing themselves -- OR -- they are furiously trying to copy what the NSA is doing.

Think back to the Clinton Administration and Monica. An Israeli company had built the White House phone system and installed it in the early part of the Clinton administration. There were numerous published stories about how the US government was convinced that the Israelis had built in technology to the system that allowed them to listen in on all calls -- undetected. Including Clinton's... and they were concerned that not only did the Israelis obtain sensitive information about the USA -- but that they had also obtained sensitive information about Clinton's personal life that could be used against him.

So to think that 20 years later that any country does not already have the ability to see everything, and hear everything -- is a bit naïve.

I will surely get some flack for this - but if I had to trust any country with that information -- it would be the NSA and the USA. I don't want them to have information on Americans -- but I doubt they care much about 99.999999% of it anyway.

I would be more worried about being Chinese in China, or Russian in Russia -- and those countries having access to everything.
