GLOBAL WARMING DEAD! RIP 2015! Arctic outbreak shatters records in eastern U.S., coldest yet to come!
Records are falling along with the temperature across the eastern U.S. on Thursday, as the coldest air of the season surges south. Friday morning’s cold promises to be even more icy, taking aim at the Eastern Seaboard from Boston to Miami.

Temperatures in the Upper Midwest plummeted to as much as minus 35 Thursday morning. Widespread sub-zero temperatures were recorded from North Dakota to Kentucky and east into Pennsylvania and New York.

[How to protect your home, pets and car from this bitter cold]

Frigid Thursday morning lows broke records in the Midwest and Ohio Valley. Chicago set a new record low for the date of minus 8 degrees, breaking the old record of minus 7 set in 1936. Cincinnati, Ohio, Nashville, Tenn., and Springfield Mo., also broke record lows for the date, among dozens of others.

The Kentucky mesonet recorded temperatures down to around 20 degrees below zero in the eastern half of the state, 30 to 40 degrees below average for this time of year. “For Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Paducah, Kentucky, Thursday morning was the coldest since Jan. 19, 1994 with lows of minus 7 degrees and minus 10 degrees, respectively,” writes the Weather Channel. “In Lexington, Kentucky, the low of minus 7 degrees was the coldest temperature there since Jan. 27, 2003.”

While Thursday may seem plenty cold enough for mid-February, Friday will be even more frigid as the plume of Arctic air digs in across the eastern United States. All-time February record lows are possible from Ohio to Virginia on Friday morning as temperatures plummet to as much as 40 degrees below average for this time of year.

@RyanMaue

Record low temperatures for the date are likely on Friday morning across many major Eastern Seaboard cities, including Boston, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Miami.

When combined with winds, the cold outbreak will lead to dangerous wind chills on Thursday and Friday morning. Wind chill warnings and advisories stretch from the Upper Midwest to the Deep South on Thursday — even as far as Miami, where Friday morning lows around 40 degrees could break records for the date, and will surely be the coldest air that southern Florida has seen in five years.

A freeze warning is also in effect for the better part of the Florida peninsula for Friday morning lows. The National Weather Service warns that imminent, sub-freezing temperatures “will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.”

The week’s record-breaking cold is courtesy of a plume of not just Arctic, but Siberian air that has been trudging across the North Pole and into North America.

NOAA’s Weather Prediction Center cautions of continued, dangerous cold on Friday morning, courtesy of the polar vortex. “There are indications that this could be some of the coldest weather since the mid-1990s for parts of the Southeast U.S., Mid-Atlantic, and central Appalachians,” it wrote in a morning forecast update. “An eddy of the polar vortex will add to the potency of the surface cold front, thus creating a deep layer of bitterly cold air.”

Contrast this warning with the above-average temperatures in the West, where record highs are falling. On the north slope of Alaska, temperatures were running an astonishing 40 degrees above average on Thursday morning.

A strong ridge of high pressure has been building over the West this week, all the way north into the Arctic circle, which has not only brought extreme warmth over western North America but has also forced the eastern U.S. into its record-setting February cold snap.

Though the cold is expected to linger in the Northeast over the weekend, temperatures will moderate across most of the eastern U.S. by Saturday.

But don't be a fucking retard, just because it is colder than normal here doesn't mean it isn't warmer elsewhere.

Friend am not sure if you understand what global warming is or means...or the transitions its creates...or you are just a person who follows the moronic media soundbites....But lets start at the word Global..global means the whole world not just one fucking country or continent..nobody called it america warming did they???. Secondly if you had ever bothered to read anything about it ..science has different positions, perceptions and theories. One is that weather change operates in many different cycles within bigger cycles so is natually and cyclical going from warm phases which then create or lead to cold events and epochs..and back again (some over thousands and tens of thousands of years). Then others claim that our industrialised development and farming and cumsumptive behaivours contributions, activities and technologies are adding variable to the mix, especially as our population has grown exponentially too..and ironically including our fucking around with the ozone and weather too...in the same way we fuck around with eachother and everything else on the planet...usually in pig ignorance but a great desire to turn a buck.

So Just because the word warmth was created and used in the media in isolation doesnt mean just warmth will happen.

its not out of balance, it is rebalancing, climate shift, more aptly named.
The sun has decreased its Iradiant energy by large factors as she has gone to sleep via the decreased sunspot records.

this energy basically maintains our upper atmosphere, when the sun decreases the earth follows suit losing large percentage of its size.

A reduction in size means there is less ability to regulate its own temp relying on large swings as storms are larger covering more distances trying to balance the temps.

basically speaking, we can not mitigate temp as we were before, this is a known cycle throughout time. looking at the data from the cores.

Climate shift isa rebalanciong of the climate regular patterns to a more violent colder atmosphere leading to extreme cold events and expanding glaciers and ice throughout the world.

ice is setting records in the south pole because of this.

alska is getting warmer, the east coast and canada will hate life, and when they finally evacuate a town that had sucumb to the iceage/mini iceage, maybe we can wake up from the parroting science "thought leader"

spend 8 years doing some research and get back to me.

I have studied this and what i have been saying is all happeningexactly as many have predicted, because its not hard when you connect the dots of data back.

unless you think looking at 35 years is in effect everything we need to know about C(lie)mate Change.

Watch for the new key word and im saying it now, they will switch to CLIMATE SHIFT

Re: GLOBAL WARMING DEAD! RIP 2015! Arctic outbreak shatters records in eastern U.S., coldest yet to come!
Excerpt:

The Space and Science Research Corporation (SSRC) announces today an important set of
climate change predictions dealing with the coming cold climate epoch that will dominate
global temperatures for the next thirty years.
According to analysis of the most reliable solar activity trends and climate models based on the
Relational Cycle Theory (RC Theory), the SSRC concludes the following:
1. The Earth is about to begin a steep drop in global temperatures off its present global
temperature plateau. This plateau has been caused by the absence of growth in global
temperatures for 18 years, the start of global cooling in the atmosphere and the oceans,
and the end of a short period of moderate solar heating from an unusually active
secondary peak in solar cycle #24.
2. Average global atmospheric and oceanic temperatures will drop significantly beginning
between 2015 and 2016 and will continue with only temporary reversals.

Since when is the Eastern US the globe?

We might find ourselves in an ice age if we tip the balance, but the Earth is currently warming, not cooling.

"Last year was the hottest on earth since record-keeping began in 1880, scientists reported on Friday, underscoring warnings about the risks of runaway greenhouse gas emissions and undermining claims by climate change contrarians that global warming had somehow stopped.

Extreme heat blanketed Alaska and much of the western United States last year. Records were set across large areas of every inhabited continent. And the ocean surface was unusually warm virtually everywhere except near Antarctica, the scientists said, providing the energy that fueled damaging Pacific storms.

In the annals of climatology, 2014 surpassed 2010 as the warmest year. The 10 warmest years have all occurred since 1997, a reflection of the relentless planetary warming that scientists say is a consequence of human activity and poses profound long-term risks to civilization and nature.Last year was the hottest on earth since record-keeping began in 1880, scientists reported on Friday, underscoring warnings about the risks of runaway greenhouse gas emissions and undermining claims by climate change contrarians that global warming had somehow stopped.

"Unequivocal" Global Warming From CO2? Not In The U.S. - Rural vs. Urban Temps"

"Powerful and wealthy elites, global warming alarmists and climate-doomsday cult'sters' often make statements like..."it is indisputable, global warming is unequivocal"...but here's the problem...that is an exceptionally misleading, anti-science piece of propaganda that should never be tolerated...even NOAA's empirical evidence shows the lie of that type of statement.....

In previous articles, evidence was presented that much of the globe has not warmed since year 2000 - areas such as regions of the world's ocean, the lower atmosphere and major regions of the U.S.

However, if global warming is "unequivocal" from CO2 emissions and other greenhouse gases as claimed, then how is it possible that major components and areas of the world are not warming?

As it turns out, where one actually measures temperature change is a huge factor whether the end result is "global" warming or not.

Simply put, as all climate scientists agree, urban/metro and airport areas are robustly warmer than surrounding areas, during both the daylight and night hours. And, as it turns out, they are warming at multiple times greater rate than rural regions.

They are not warmer because of more CO2 and methane. They are warmer because they have more people, cars, schools, stores, restaurants, planes, trucks, buses, trains, factories, concrete, asphalt, buildings, parking lots and etc.

And because of some very incredibly shortsighted decisions, the majority of climate stations are now located in the urban/airport areas, with most of the rural stations being eliminated. Thus, there now exists a built in bias impacting global warming calculations, which heat-up the actual climate reality."
