I have not watched television since 2001. I just watch dvds of films and shows I know and enjoy. Can anyone recommend any shows that come at least close to x files? Thanks ahead of time. That way I can look on amazon for them and maybe add to my collection. abduct

war of the worlds. season one only though. great show. way ahead of its time. direct sequel to the 1953 movie
AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM:

KICKING ASS, KILLING NAZIS, KILLING COMMIES, MAKING BABIES, BUILDING CITIES, EXPLORING SPACE, GOING TO THE MOON, AND PUTTING THE "CIVIL" IN CIVILIZATION SINCE 1776!

But I tell you this man, I tell you this, I carry an aura of "fuck you" everywhere I go and while I may not cause scenes I can sure as hell continue them and escalate them but good.

There is going to be a second revolution folks.

Count on it - and it will be the citizens against the government.

It will be damn bloody. It will be a war of attrition. It will result in over 100 million dead.

The heavy handedness of the government - the fascists in code enforcement and animal control especially - have brought this upon themselves.

Good news for us both then my friend.....there are plans in the works as I type to bring the show back with the original Mulder and Scully. They haven't announced when they're going to start filming but hopefully it won't be long

Fringe is pretty awesome but I still preferred x files. The main character Walter Bishop is played by Aussie actor John Noble rockon

Anyone else feel, the show ended when Mulder finally got his answers about his sister, and the chilling song
"My Weakness" by Moby started playing?

Fringe really isn't like X-Files other than the main character happens to be an FBI agent. The Fringe Division is supposedly a branch of the FBI but they kind of act independently.

Fringe is more science fiction IMO, a great series no doubt. They might of attempted too much between alternate realities and time travel but overall it was a riveting series.

X-Files is kind of unique in the material they dealt with honestly I can't think of another series that I've seen that was similar.

If you like sci fi with some humor thrown in, try Warehouse 13 and Eureka. They're not meant to be "deep" ... they're just fun.

I enjoyed Jericho too, as well as Firefly and Merlin. I think all of these are currently on Netflix. They're not exactly the same genre as X-Files, but you may like them.

Current shows or stuff you can stream?

I'm starting to get into 12 monkeys on SyFy.

LOST was damn good, although the ending was disappointing.
