mcurb User ID: 64700660 United States 02/23/2015 10:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Man has improved on nature? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67755315 How often has that been successful in the long run? I doubt that it will really work knowing a thing or two about bees. Anything that makes it easy to rob a hive will not benefit the bees. People will always fuck up a promised good thing, I guarantee it. Do you use toilet paper? Ever drove a car? Ever ate off a plate or drank from a cup? If you really think improvements to apiary husbandry will ruin the world, then wipe your ass with cat like Van Gogh did when he visited Gauguin. More RESPONSIBLE beekeepers will be a good thing. The cases where people abuse the system, the bees will die out. So there is your governing mechanism. In a world where bee populations have been dying out, a increase in beekeepers will help counter the problem. Unless, of course, your worried about the honey business being ruined by this technological advance. I am sure glad you were not around when Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin! |

I guess the comment was inadvertently directed at me. Morpheus User ID: 729560 Canada 02/24/2015 09:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, what I want to know is how do you regulate the honey that the bees need to over winter? This seems to make it too easy to take honey without the "husbandry" and stewardship that beekeeping entails. Many of the beekeepers I know have expressed grave doubts about this. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 61196054 You need to watch the whole video before posting. Taps turn off and the bees reseal the hive. Yes, that's how it works. |
Morpheus User ID: 729560 Canada 02/24/2015 09:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Never seen a ything like that. i have kept bees for 45 years the old way. This is amazing and may encourage more people to keep bees in their gardens. Quoting: Phasmida Please copy and share this on social media to help their crowd funding. I will make enquiries asap about what types of hives they are made to fit, and may invest. This would save a great deal of the heavy lifting for me. I'll be sending you a PM |
