US Government Moves on Nationwide Adult Vaccination

I remember getting the shots when I was a kid (born '83). The ones required before you can attend public school. Thats just basic. Kids do need to be vaccinated.

With that said, they start rolling the gunships on these adult vaccines and its gonna be a fire fight. No ifs and or buts.

So THATS why I am required to track "vaccine compliance".

I do Joint Commission on Healthcare stuff at the company I work for. Last year, i was required to starrt tracking who did and did not take a flu shot each year. Im talking employees, not patients. I am also required to write the reasons why they refuse. I has a bit of fun documenting my reasons since ironically i do not take vaccines.

This tracking program will continue until 2020. The Joint Commission states in the regs that the flu shot is not yet required to be Joint Commission certified.

Thats in the name of the new vaccine effort. "Healthy People 2020".

The Joint Commission regs dont say what happens when the tracking effort is complete in 2020. All i know is that it is a Joint Commission requirment to do it until then.

Perhaps thats when the mandate starts.

They pounced on me one time about a flu shot, and I asked them if they have a printout of the ingredients of what's in that flu shot. She came back with some sort of handout paper, which of course, did not contain any ingredients.

Then I asked her if someone that she did not know wanted to stick a needle containing unknown substances in her arm, if she thought that would be alright. OMG. The look of her face. At least I gave her food for thought.

Another time I told them that if they asked me one more time if I have had "my flushot", that I, my entire family and distant family members and friends would never shop there again.

I really haven't been asked lately.
