Many well meaning folks are out there are encouraging you to buy a lot of medical related gadgets. But there is one or two very practical and inexpensive things anyone can do to be prepared for many medical emergencies that may crop up during a crisis. I would suggest looking up organizations/people affiliated with the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association in your area and take a first aide course as well as a CPR/BLS (basic life support) course. These skills may help you help someone else even during times of peace. |

TriggerFish User ID: 66788271 United States 03/01/2015 12:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Has anyone seen how expensive Fish Mox is all of a sudden? I know I got it cheap last year on Amazon. Now it's $35. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 64965697 Take a little vacation trip to the Yucatan. Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, etc. There are all kinds of pharmacy shops in tourist towns in Mexico that sell all the flavors of antibiotics, common meds, z-pak, etc. Great prices and perfectly legal. And instead of pretending to be a fish, you can join them in a bit of snorkeling or other aquatic adventures! Caught in the rift between Deja Vu and Amnesia. Counting the days before the paradigm shift in understanding causes the world to rise up and seize back our hard won freedoms taken by the NWO agenda. |

Most of this equipment can be purchased online through ebay or amazon. Others can be found on various veterinarian websites. Please get trained in the use of this equipment. This dude is going to be in for rude surprise when he tries to intubate (sp) someone for the first SEVERAL tries ...its NOT something you can do without experience. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 976654 Canada 03/01/2015 03:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Take things a step deeper. Use sugar on infected wounds. It draws out the moisture and bacteria and keeps wound dry and clean. Change it once or twice a day. Bonus points if you mix a bit of iodine into it. Pure honey works good on wounds too. Vodka for painkiller and disinfectant. Any other booze will do in a pinch. Learn how to reset a dislocated shoulder and knee. Many good YouTube videos. This is an absolute must. So easy to fix, yet absolutely crippling if left untreated. Learn how to debride/clean wounds and cut away jagged dead flesh and wash the wound. Or die of sepsis/gangrene. Again, YouTube. There's a great vid called War Surgery. Teach everyone how to apply tremendous pressure to any bleeding wounds. Pressure saves lives. Don't be a dummy and just pile on dressings like they teach you in first aid class. You NEED pressure. Use charcoal for poisoning or bad stomach or digestive issues. Find the nearest campfire and eat up. These several things I mentioned will save many lives if used. Once the modern supplies and hospitals cease, it's down to old fashioned frontier medicine. Learn now while you can. |

Bodiless Forum Administrator User ID: 56159217 United States 03/03/2015 08:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Many people are completely unaware that human antibiotics are frequently used for fish. Excellent source of antibiotics in a SHTF situation. Some antifungals as well. Adjust for dosage--they can be different that that used for human consumption. Basic trauma med( how to stop a bleeder, CPR, etc) everyone should be familiar with, Another essential is a really good home medical book for the layperson. This is a timely and important thread. Backwoods medicine is just around the corner, IMHO. Time to prepare. Being in a hospital in that situation is a warrant for death. Damn near is now. ***** “We have assembled the most extensive and inclusive Voter Fraud Organization in the history of America”—Joe “SippyCup” Biden Joe Biden will never be the man Michelle Obama is The worst thing about dying is that you become a democratic voter for eternity |
