In reality, we are in a computer simulation created by a species who are also a computer simulation, but don't know it. Their creators run the entire matrix on Commodore PETs (32K with the 80 column display, not the first one with only 16K and 40 columns). It's true. My uncle, a Commodore BASIC programmer called me when he found a bit of code in the cassette drive software, tears streaming down his face, telling me there was no point in having a second floppy disk drive. |

DawaSatso User ID: 66575918 United States 03/03/2015 09:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I like this topic because it confuses me re where levels of creating reality stand. Tonite someone said "Correlation does not mean Causal necessarily". I am coming from there myself where I stop myself from making assumptions about things. Could it be literal the way Philip K. Dick describes it.. An X-File episode covered this too about a novelist whose characters and (insanity) played out in reality until he had to burn the script. (likely the writer of that episode got the idea from PKD). How many times have we seen art imitating life? Many times. In fact if you look at a wiki page and check song titles and movies of an actor or singer you can most times find Titles in their repertoire play a part in the artist's actual lives. Ironically, those who sing songs that include "I'm a Survivor" often end up unsurviving before their time. Just ask Left-Eye Lopez! LOL. There is a big part of me that just can't accept a literal explanation of creating one's reality. At the same time I'm a bit superstitious about such things. Seems to me there are levels of reality, such as the collective one, the spiritual one, the personal one, the DNA ancestry one, then the early damage to a human that is very difficult to overcome and replays. I don't enjoy pasteurized pop psychology or the love and lighty stuff. There has to be some profound and classy depth to it otherwise even if I would like to consider it beyond it's real worth..that does fail. But I have had miraculous events take place in my experience as have most of us. The components of our interpretations to me always feel lacking and inadequate. Quoting: AgnosticQuestions ...and? Does it have the fluid fantasmagoric complex intelligence say that the earth itself has. That can't be captured in a "modern" computing program which has to know the rules to code into it. It is all too playful to view within self-limited concepts. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 25596506 United States 03/05/2015 01:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thread: The True Nature of the Simulation Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62564465 Medical Technological Development created methods of indefinite "anti-aging" long long ago. Along with this, quantum computer networks were also developed with the capability of simulating every aspect of reality as it is interpreted by the human brain. Quoting: Tantalus They use these quantum computer networks to "screen" humanity. They have created this/these holographic simulation(s) as (a) screening area(s) where they just pick and choose who they allow into the "real" based on certain requirements. Think about it, in a world where physical immortality is possible through medical science and technology, how else could it be? Those with access to such technology would have some decisions to make. Certain questions would inevitably arise. Would the ones with access to immortality inducing technology be able to intermingle with those who do not? Why would one be denied access? Is everyone respectful of the rights of others? Does everyone deserve indefinitely extended life? Are humans born inherently "good?" Many other concerns with natural balance and overpopulation would also arise. When no one dies, yet reproduction is still possible, overpopulation and resource shortage can happen very quickly. They created these virtual holo-realities so they can just pick and choose who they share their immortal universe with, and the rest just live out their lives, all the while, they maintain a fragile equilibrium with nature. Immortality is one of those things that, if everyone knew it was possible, it would do more damage than good. If people knew for a fact that this was the goal, would their actions and convictions be genuine? Its just one of those things that you dont get to know about.... until...... well ...you pass the test. |

I sure like cheese. Maybe there's hope. Quoting: A Fine Mess Lol... yup pretty much. An interesting thread indeed. I do not want to derail this thread but I do have a question for you OP, Is it really illegal for people to grow their own food in New Zealand? So if for example some one buys land out in the country is it illegal to grow your own food on it? |
