Some words have their genesis from an intention to describe extra-dimensional aspects of peoples astral/ethereal appearance. And may have more meaning to you later as your mind, it matures...

Its well known that the human body finishes maturing on average by age 28 for males and females. It's not as well known however that the mind/brain never finishes maturing and continues to grow until departure.

If I were to look at you astrally, you might appear as a grey slug with an extra big mouth, black gums and two eyes looking off in different directions.

Someone else may appear to exhibit Lycanthropic traits as their appearance shifts from man to beast, and forth and back.

Or maybe humanoids have a latent genetic potential to shake themselves so fast they then dematerialize and re-dematerialize as intelligent vampire fighting where-wolves.

Who knows...

Uhhh no as humans age their brains/bodies basically deteriorate.

The 'cause' of that deterioration is multi-faceted, but it makes the point to say: Degeneration is a result the accumulation of toxins.

I might suggest there are a cast of men who started out as people but whom eventually learned how to bleed fire, and subjugate toxins.
