Change the way you two eat and start hiking, running or going to the gym together.

My bf gets heavier than normal it's not from the food that I cook for us but from snacking.

I cannot get him to put the chips down but he has mentioned that he's going to cut out beer.

A steak and a pile of lettuce will suffice for him to lose some weight. Just as long as he doesn't eat any junk.
