But remember, one EMP at the right spot will neutralize US-mainland for approx 1 year.

emp the usa- and they will discover exactly how many friends they have (precious few worldwide) and how many enemies they have ( a FUCKIN LOT!!!!)

most countries will be quite happy to stand back and ignore them, and there will be quite a few (to put it mildly) ready to invade and get some payback...

ignoring their enemies that will be willing to just sit back and let others closer take revenge- just think of the ones in your backyard that actively hate you and would be wanting payback- thats most of the americas (both continents) quite a few closeby african countries that would love some payback, most of the middle east would be happy to grab some usa payback..... and they are only a few days sailing away IF you have working tech.....

not to mention the civil war(s) that would immediately break out as all the gunowners fight each other for the few remaining working tech items (god a working pre80's diesel ute would be worth its weight in gold)- until the new `owners' move in with working tech and wipe out the `infestation' of rats currently making quite a nice piece of land almost valueless


I'll have to look up the ebook, it was quite fascinating- I seriously doubt the usa would last a year- most of the population would be dead with a few months tops- almost the entire country would be devoid of people within a single year if no outside help was given (he estimated between 20 to 40 million tops after a year- which puts his lower estimate as being lower than oz's population in the same size country.... and his upper population figure as being about the same as canadas....

IF I was the leader of a country that another much bigger, much better armed and much more aggressive country was verbally attacking almost daily...

I personally would be making sure that IF said country decided to wage yet `ANOTHER' war on terror....

I had a suitable response waiting in the wings

now `I' as that's country's leader would already be making and testing long range/icbm style missiles....

but thats plan A...


now even a stupid wouldn't NOT be thinking ahead to plan b,c,d,e,f,g and so on...

I have reliable short range nuke capable missiles- so `lock and load'

register a few panama ships (the most common registered vessels in the world thanks to the usa) and fit em out with `short range' missiles- being 200-500 mile range- well tested and nuke capable

load them with a `legal' cargo and then sail em in close- and wait...


should said country decide to be aggressive- well launch

if they dont (that week) then oops- ship broke down- goto another port (one we control) so our secret cargo isnt discovered- and send another one...


wash and repeat until needed.....
