Probably not in a small town but I am less than an hour away from Cincinnati and they do have specialty grocery stores with bakeries.

why is it so hard to understand that the gay cakes in question were just cakes? there was no theme to them... there was no guys jerking each other off on top of the cake... they just wanted A CAKE ...A SIMPLE CAKE ...the protest was they don't want to make a plain cake for a gay wedding.

asking for an Easter themed cake or a cake that says "God hates gays" is asking for a statement cake. the gays were not asking for that ...they just wanted a regular cake from a goddamn bakery that's supposed to make regular cakes as they so wanted to do when they opened.

Did they need it delivered? Why would the baker want to be seen at a gay wedding. Or have the bakery's name associated with the cake?

Wedding guest: " mmmmmm this cake is so delicious, who made it for you?"

Then they have more gay weddings to deliver to.

And that's not even the point. The point is if you own a business it's up to you to take or deny jobs that you want to do. If your too much of a jerk you won't have any business but that's up to the individual.

Turn it around. If the best painter in town is gay and a church wants him to paint the interior. I believe he has the right to say screw you.

Even if they aren't asking him to paint baby Jesus. He shouldn't have to do work for people he doesn't want to work for.

The bottom line is the government should not be able to force a baker to bake a cake.

The same way the government shouldn't be able to tell the gay couple if they can or can't be married. The belief that marriage is only between a man and a woman is a religious belief. Religion, sexuality and race should not be a factor when making or enforcing laws. All it does is give one person or group extra liberties at the expense of denying the other group.
