Look, you dumb fuck. When light interacts with chemicals, it's spectrum is affected. The remaining light that reaches us here on Earth is no longer a continuous spectrum of light because some of it has been interacted with by the chemicals. These gaps in the spectrum are called absorption lines.

I hate to be a downer but 90% of these exciting scientific discoveries are pure bullshit.

All these 'scientists' are living a pretty good life off this, they got $200,000 a year jobs, million dollar homes, expensive cars, they are not doing this out of some sort of idealism.

They claim that the light from the star 500 light years away flickers a teeny, tiny itsy little bit, it changes by one millionth a degree and they claim they can tell what the planet is like. that is ridiculous.

the artist rendering is deceiptful and misleading, and is a lie told with the intent of getting funding to live off taxpayers. This is what 90% of science is now, sad to say.

and when scientists do discover something of real value, or potential value to ordinary people the criminal mafia running everything immediately classifies it and then lies to the masses, puts out tons of disinfo to discredit and keep it away from the masses, after their taxes paid for it.

ok here is how they claim to know that there is a planet orbiting this star.

they take a measurement of the light from the star and compare it with light at another time, and if it's one one millionth brighter at a different time, then that must mean there is a planet blocking a tiny bit of the light.

This is utter ridiculous bullshit. there are at least 10,000 other things that could be causing this change in the light.

and how can we really believe they can measure such teeny changes in the amount of light coming from a star 500 light years away? What if they are just lying to get money? lol. Oh noo, that is impossible, right?? Atheists would never lie.

I love to see these stories. I would love to see the public confirmation of intelligent life elsewhere in the cosmos in my lifetime.

When we cross the veil we will all be able to travel to mars and this planet as well....many people have reported that they traveled to many other planets during their near death experiences.

The Cygnus constellation planet mentioned is old news. NASA discovered it but it is foul news to say it has probable life on it.

Have a feeling each human race will have there own planet over time. Like the continents will each have there own planet. Maybe peace will be a little easier if we aren't so damn clumped together and pissing each other off.

I was an amateur astronomer, built a big light bucket and smaller refractor telescopes, hunted for comets, studied the skies for over 20 years before I got less interested in it. With all that scientific contemplation, I can not begin to visualize in my mind a distance like 500 light years. Try it some time. This vast distance numbs the mind of anyone with the ability to imagine it.

They could not possibly gather enough light from the planet to run a valid spectrum analysis. The star, maybe, but not some mudball circling it. That's a crackpot idea it is.
