Maybe just differences in individuals, but I find many more people who believe what the tv tells them to have been born before 1980, not after.

Seems like those generations were conditioned to believe the tv, newspapers, etc, and there was no free flow of information like there is now with the internet. It was all a one way flow and herd mentality.

I was born in 1965 and I have seen such trails for over 40 years. Maybe there have been more of them in the northeast for more years. Maybe where you grew up there wasn't much flyover traffic.

I never made such a claim. I have pointed out that some chemmies claim that they don't believe that all long lasting trails are chemtrails and then fail to explain what characteristics determine which trails are contrails and which are chemtrails.

Is it how long they last, color, altitude, length, geographic location?

I have no idea.


For me, it's easy. I think all trails are contrails because I haven't seen evidence to the contrary. Regardless of any physical property.

Yes, I understand that there are weather modification/geoengineering research programs but no one has linked the trails in the sky with any such program without making assumptions.

was born in 58, i remember dark blue skies, and vapor trails that burned off after 30 to 40 secs behind the jets when playing outside as a kid. Never did see a contrail\chemtrail till the late 70s.

IMO, the chemtrail project is an act of desperation, either to mitigate extreme weather changes or repairing ozone layers, damaged by an industrial age or military atmospheric experiments ( or both)..

My nose runs\eyes burn, when they run their chemtrail operation.

But i am tending to lean towards ozone repair\or band-aid effect. UV rays have been on the rise the last 40 years.

Either due to thinning of the atmosphere or changes in sun\space weather events.

Its the gov way of keeping commerce flowing...for the good of keeping profits coming in to the very end.

In the past five years the combination of new theoretical concepts and computer simulations along with
dramatically improved observational diagnostics appear to have led to a detailed, quantitative, understanding
of the properties of the Langmuir turbtdence induced in the unpreconditioned ionosphere at Arecibo during
the first tens of milliseconds following the turn-on of the HF heater. This is the only observational regime in
which the initial ionospheric conditions are known to a high level of confidence. The so called strong Langmuir
turbulence (SLT) theory predicts observed features in this early time heating which are completely at odds
with the prediction of the traditional weak turbulence approximation. The understanding of the observed
signatures for times greater than say 30-50 ms following the onset of heating at Arecibo is still incomplete.
The same is apparently true for the observations at Troms~w here the unique predictions of SLT theory are
not so clearly observed. Density irregularities, induced by heating at Arecibo and perhaps present in the
ambient ionosphere at Troms~a,p pear to control the properties of the turbulence. The proper description of
the coexistence of Langmuir turbulence with various density irregularities and accounting for the turbulent
modification of the electron velocity distribution are challenges for the theory.
In this paper I will review, starting from the Vlasov-Poisson equations, the fundamental basis of the
reduced models used to describe SLT and suggest improvements to the standard model including a new local
quasi linear theory for the treatment of hot electron acceleration and transit time damping or burnout of
collapsing Langmuir cavitons.
The increased ponderomotive and thermal pressures of the horizontal, Airy layered, turbulence observed
by Djuth et.al. are predicted to be large enough to induce density depletions of a few percent which in turn
can alter the standing wave profile of the heater. These turbulence-induced pressures, which are strong
functions of the local heater intensity, are expected to lead to an enhanced filamentation instability of the
heater field near reflection density which can evolve into intermediate scale field aligned density irregularities.
New SLT simulation diagnostics reveal that the Langmuir waves and ion acoustic waves participating
in the decay-cascade processes, near or below matching density, are confined to field aligned density depletion
channels or filaments. This leads to the speculation that these may be the seeds for short scale striations
which are observed to be correlated with the Langmuir turbulence.

This is the final report of a three-year, Laboratory-Directed Research and
Development (LDRD) project at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
This research concentrated on the time dependence of the heater, inducedturbulence,
and electron-density profiles excited in the ionosphere by a
powerful radio-frequency heater wave. The macroscopic density is driven by
the ponderomotive pressure and the density self-consistently determines the
heater propagation. For typical parameters of the current Arecibo heater, a
dramatic quasi-periodic behavior was found. For about 50 ms after turn-on of
the heater wave, the turbulence is concentrated at the first standing-wave
maximum of the heater near reflection altitude. From 50-100 ms the standingwave
pattern drops by about 1-2 km in altitude and the quasi-periodicity
reappears at the higher altitudes with a period of roughly 50 ms. This behavior
is due to the half-wavelength density depletion grating that is set up by the
ponderomotive pressure at the maxima of the heater standing-wave pattern.
Once the grating is established the heater can no longer propagate to higher
altitudes. The grating is then unsupported by the heater at these altitudes and
decays, allowing the heater to propagate again and initiate another cycle. For
stronger heater powers, corresponding to the Arecibo upgrade and the HAARP
heater now under construction, the effects are much more dramatic.

Couple that with higher efficiency engines, and planes flying at higher altitudes to conserve fuel, and you have the recipe for more (and more persistent) contrails...
