I've learned over the years that there is simply no accounting for the vagaries of Amazon or eBay or any of the techie on-line retail giants.

One thing I betcha can count on is that their goal is to make as much for themselves as possible while paying just enough to their dirt-poor product providers to keep them there.

LOL...Yep. Amazon, in particular, has had LOTS of complaints about their business ethics on the authors program.

Amazon's overall effect on the book world is still largely unknown. But, I do think it will, in the end, be a net negative for humanity...basically driving out all hard copy books, and putting the decision as to what can be read into the hands of a tiny few corporate elites.
