Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34416972 Used to be bleeding heart liberals. This s their first teaching post. The situation for the kids makes her cry. A twelve year old pulled out of school for counseling for a month. Her father was pimping her out. 9th grade boy told his home room teacher he didn't have to do anything he didn't feel like because he was a drug dealer. I asked what would help these kids. They said in unison, " Different parents"! Another year and they can get into a fancy charter school as teachers and leave the daily threats to their safety. And they really care and give every lesson their all... Even the idealistic black young teacher has had enough. Leaving the teach America program for safer pastures... The little thugs make sure they get less and less... Black principal has given up too... Are they conservatives now? |
