I'm chinese and I've read that prophecy numerous times. Many chinese prophecy forum discuss it.
I do not doubt that it is true. However, there's too many different interpretations, just like any other prophecies, eg. Nostradamus and Bible.
Some says poem 44 describes war between taiwan and china which is different from what alex chiu mentioned.
And do not mind what word alex chiu used. The meaning is definitely lost in translation. The chinese used in those poems are old chinese. Even chinese has a difficulty making sense out of it. The translation by alex chiu is only is personal interpretation.
Just my 2 cents.

Like that communist word translation. In that poem it says "Chay Gong Er Jhu". which means "lean on commuter and rule". Doesn't this mean that communists will take over? I like Alex's translations actually. He clearified everything.
