Matt 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. no they don't. for example, Christians don't sacrifice two sheep every day as required by the law of Moses. Only because Christ is our sacrifice. We still have a worthy sacrifice and we still follow the torah rules. Nissan 1 is still gods new year and Jubilees were not done away with by Christ |

If you don't think the law still applies then you don't understand salvation. If the law doesn't apply anymore then what are you saved from? Also did jesus do away with thou shalt not murder? because as I recall that is a partof the law of moses. Don't be ridiculous. Anyway I digress. This thread is about the upcoming Jubilee. Please direct your comments toward that subject matter. |

Jesus said: You know that our ancestors were told, “Do not murder” and “A murderer must be brought to trial.” 22 But I promise you that if you are angry with someone,[f] you will have to stand trial. (Matthew 5:21-22) Therefore "do not murder" is the old law from the law of Moses. Jesus gave us a new law saying that we aren't even supposed to get angry. In regards to "the upcoming Jubilee", that is from the law of Moses, which Christians are not under. Please see Acts 15 where the Holy Spirit told all the apostles and elders that Christians are not under the law of Moses. |

That is not a new law it is a expounding of the old law to reflect the spirit of him that wrote it. It is a logical end to a law not done away with. Example. LAw says "thou shall not murder" why? because man is created by god and god said so? because harming someone is not okay. because causing ill to someone is wrong and therefore the spirit of "do not murder" is do not do harm in any way including misuse of anger toward an innocent person. To say thou shall not get angry does not do away with " thou shall not murder" if anything it keeps the old law in tact while adding more explanation |

Therefore it must be a new law. Here is another new law Jesus gave us: But I am giving you a new command. You must love each other, just as I have loved you. (John 13:34) The law of Moses doesn't have a commandment to love one another as Jesus loves us. It is a new commandment directly from Jesus. Also, please see Acts 15 where all the apostles were told by the Holy Spirit that Christians aren't under the law of Moses, and they all agreed. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 67170414 United Kingdom 03/17/2015 09:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.torahcalendar.com] I believe this Calendar to be accurate. The Jubilee is a stand-a-alone Year. If we're counting correctly we should have: 49 Years, Jubilee Year, 49 Years, Jubilee Year, 49 Years, Jubilee Year. It's important we know exactly when each 49 Year cycle begins and when it ends, the same applies to the Jubilee Year. 49 Year cycle 118 [22nd September 1865 - 30th September 1914] Jubilee Year 118 [1st October 1914 - 11th September 1915] 49 Year cycle 119 [12th September 1915 - 16th September 1964] Jubilee Year 119 [ 17th September 1964 - 26th September 1965] 49 Year cycle 120 [27th September 1965 - 4th October 2014] Jubilee Year 120 [5th October 2014 - 15th September 2015] "Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks [49 Years]..." Daniel 9:25] 49 Year cycle 120 is the "seven weeks" being referred to in the above verse! For it was within this 49 Year cycle that Jerusalem was restored and built. These 49 Years expired on the 4th of October 2014. We're now in the Year of the Messiah the Prince - the 120th Jubilee Year! This is the Year within which, I believe, the redemption of our bodies will occur! |
