I don't know if they all feel this way, but I lived in Austin from 2010-2012 and this is what I learned from all the Hispanics that I had contact with. These were mostly Hispanics whose families had been in this country for at least 2 generations. Not all of them were, but most. They didn't like blacks or Mexicans and they made it clear they did not like to be called Mexican. Some of them actually preferred to live in white neighborhoods. The home we rented was in a very nice middle class neighborhood. It was mostly whites and Hispanics and a small amount of blacks. The whites and Hispanics associated with each other more than the blacks. We lived next door to a very nice older Hispanic couple. When the grandkids came to visit for a couple of weeks they gave them a big box of toys. |

The sound quality on the video is just horrible, even after I put headphones on I couldn't make it out. I wish there was a proper way of discerning what was said. |
