My Favorite Nightmare. - No Christians please.

I recently had a dream that you may find useful. I am NOT posting it to be "analyzed" by others! I am only including it to express my views on personal courage.

The dream was quite short, or at least the part that I could remember upon waking was short. What I can remember was that it was like a nightmare. I haven't had a nightmare in years. What little I remember is just seeing a terrible monster's face with it's teeth showing, right in front of my own face. It had it's mouth open and it's pointed teeth bared. It made a growling sound like an animal. I told myself to wake up, but just as I was waking, there appeared a note on a torn scrap of notebook paper right in front of me.

To paraphrase, the short hand written note said something like, "I only appeared frightening like this to you because of your own personal biases, fears and preconceived ideas of me." I then awoke wishing that I had been brave enough to stay with the dream and to ask questions of this being. But I didn't.

I haven't had the dream again or any other dreams worth mentioning since then. I don't know if this note was a form of deception or whether it was telling me the truth. But, I do know that we only discover real Truth when we are brave enough to face our darkest thoughts and fears. This journey is about personal courage and about facing our own personal demons, real or imagined.
