Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68529317 Yes, American cops can be overly aggressive retards at times. But every time shit like this happens, it's also hard to defend the victim because they act stupid as well. When a cop has his gun pointed at you and tells you to stop, you should probably stop instead of trying to drive off, especially when it gets near the front of your car. Maybe this happens so often in America because Americans are generally dumb? Being stupid shouldn't cost you your life. Unless the cop or someone else was in direct jeopardy of dying, the cop is a murderer. Oh, "stupid shouldn't cost you your life?" But it does and in many different ways. It's nature's way, animals that are stupid don't usually live long. Why should you believe it is different for humans? Really simple solution, DON'T BE STUPID! So cops are the arbiters of natural selection? In order for a cop to have a "lawful" authority, they must believe a crime has been or is about to be committed (mere assumptions don't count). If the cop did not have a first hand witness account that "she" was an imminent harm to the public, I cannot articulate how simply pulling out of a roadway can be construed as violating any law. The cop attempted to restrict her of her freedom of movement, by use of deadly force, and under the color of law from what I can gather. Lawfully pulling out onto a roadway is NOT justification of deadly force. This cop put himself in danger by attempting to restrict her "unlawfully" from her freedom of movement. It constitutes false imprisonment while brandishing a deadly weapon and if it were me, only my side of the story would be heard in court. |

All orders must be obeyed, no citizen can question any order or refuse to obey without automatically getting shot by the government police. No, that's a little conspiratorial. A drunk behind the wheel is a deadly weapon. Ask my dead sister inlaw. So if a potential drunk fails to obey the cop standing two feet from her car, gets shot while fleeing then so be it. That's a far better result than some drunk asshole mowing down innocent people. No fucks given! |

Maybe this happens so often in America because Americans are generally dumb? You blame BOTH parties? Are you seriously that dumb. I've been on this site for a few years watching and reading responses and have never written or joined. But after seeing this video/story and seeing your stupid post, I had to respond (and join very shortly). See I've been a cop for over 13 years and this idiot should be charged and convicted and should never have been in law enforcement. I've been to hundreds of house/field parties and you get the ones you can without putting your life (or theirs) in jeopardy. He put himself in front of that vehicle. He put the deadly force response in play because of HIS actions. Should she have stopped, yes, but not because he is pointing his pistol at her. If one of these immature and just down right stupid officers pointed his pistol at me for such a small offense of a misdemeanor trespass (some places an infraction), I'd get out of there as fast as I could too. That is a mentally unstable person if they have to stop someone for a misdemeanor with their pistol. He should have let her by and got her license number to cite her later, or if she "gets away", who gives a F***. You can't catch every person who violates every single offense. When my other officers and I arrive at a party, we expect everyone to flee like roaches when the light comes on. We are there to stop the "offense" whether its trespassing or a noise complaint. Our job is not to charge as many people as we can. He reminds me of the officers I have seen who get upset after a thug flips him the bird on the street. Or curses at him. Thats comes with the job, grow some thick skin. I'm so furious, I want to write that department, but that won't do any good. A lot of them are turning way too corrupt, that's why I'm getting out. God bless everyone and please remember there are a few of us good guys out there. I'm fighting the good fight. |

Meat head 'roided up no-neck cops bring monies into the system. Prosecutors and the courts get said proceeds. It's a conflict of interest to have the DA presenting evidence to Grand Juries and being the sole prosecutor. fixed I have long feared that my sins would return to visit me, and the cost is more than I can bear. - The Patriot |

His posture says most everything there, he is in soldier mode not cop mode. Considering the tone of his flesh on his arms as well, he is on some sort of foodstuff that is drying up his regular thinking, perhaps it is steroids or energy drinks or something more sinister like a powdered substance. Some alkyloid substance making him more prone to hostility in a confrontational event. If it was 4 shots it could have been 3; it if was one shot it could have been with backup. If she was in the car he could have gotten into the car. He is not cogniting that these are humans. |

But wasn't it the cop that put his safety in jeopardy first? Get close to a moving car and your foot might get ran over. Who's actually at fault for this cop's personal safety being compromised? |

The probable cause is obvious, so the only option she had was to stop and she kicked it down. It's right there in the video. If she stopped she'd still be alive. |
