"Science Will Never Find the "God Particle/Higgs-Boson" According to Nassim Haramein! Wow!

OP, the God Particle is a catch phrase like Weapons of Mass Destruction. Neither one ever existed but was parroted over and over until it was endorsed by the masses.

This is an important thread and should not be derailed by nitpicking fools.

Ask this all important question:

Who or what has the most to gain from this expensive experiment?

They already say they found Quarks, Strangelets and other little gremlin particles. Yet the big expensive multinational push to find yet another little particle?

You do not spend half a trillion dollars to gloat over finding a little particle...there has to be some sort of payback.

Just worth repeating. And expanding upon.

There has been data that behaves as predicted should the higgs particle exist. No actual particle spinning through one of the big detectors. No particle. And...

AND!

Only a miniscule amount of the data gathered from previous experiments have been crunched. Granted, there is A LOT of that data they know is unimportant and skip that. But still much investigation to do. Perhaps the particle will show up, but my guess would be the data studied showing influence of what could be the higgs, would be the first data set studied and they would zoom right in on where that particle should be.

I don't think it's a particle. Just my uneducated opinion.

That is very true, that we need to understand not only
the WHAT (focusing just on the Higgs particle) but
also the WHO, WHERE, WHEN, AND WHY of this project.

Just the fact that they are presenting these "ceremonies"
that smack of Hollywood programming, makes me feel
like there is something MORE to all of this than
what we are seeing.

I've heard that so far the CERN LHC Collider has cost
roughly $300 billion dollars. That is a huge outlay
of money!

By comparison with the WWII development of
the Atom Bomb--The Manhattan Project--The U.S.A. spent
over $20 billion over a period of 3 years (including building a small town for the scientists and support teams)...That's is in terms of 1996 dollar values,
by the way. This was considered a staggering amount
of money for an as yet unproven weapon, yet they
went ahead with it. However, $300 billion for one
particle that proves "God?" NOT.

The cost to explore the Higgs was $13.25B according to wiki.

Total cost is much much less that $500B from what I've seen.

That being said, it's not just little particle they are after, though there is some self aggrandizement, I am sure, by the scientist wanting to be the first to discover something.

But, as I mentioned earlier, this has a lot to do with how and why things behave as they do. If they can figure out how gravity works, maybe we can manipulate it.

The entire point of the cern collider is to smash particles and observe their constituent components.

video and I would think you could trust that as it
was also mentioned by a couple of physcists in the
audience. Anyways...I can't even grasp that much
money in my brain--I would say anything OVER the
budget to create the Atomic Bomb ($20 billion) should
be looked at with suspicious eyes, as this was considered
an "emergency" expenditure by those in WWII. What would
be the "emergency" NOW for CERN?

Haramein mentioned one of the excellent "bottomlines"
for continuing to look for smaller and smaller particles.
That reason is that each time a new particle is discovered,
another Ph.D. wins a Nobel Prize. Just think of all the
Ph.D. candidates that will line up to get a piece of
THAT action! lol! Remember the old adage: "Publish or
Parish" from universities. This thing is tailor made
for continuing the "Good Old Boys Club!"

Well...if it proves out to be true, the German Airbus
accident is a magnetic interference spin-off from the
CERN Collider, as the planes flight path took it either
directly OVER the CERN or very close to its affects.

This is already costing many lives...and history will
be the test for what the entire cost will be for the
planet.

Too many people being too literal here. Yes, the Higgs Boson was found by CERN. It is a specific and well defined particle. They knew it existed because there was evidence of it. That's how they were able to define it having never seen it. If you know what you're looking for, you'll eventually find it.

Nassim has an awesome talent for explaining super complex concepts simply. What he's saying goes beyond the Higgs Boson, which does exist, and has been identified. His whole point is that science is trying to prove that they've found "the smallest thing", but there literally is no "smallest thing".

Einstein got closer than anyone else in history, but he was missing bits of info to tie "everything" together. I think Nassim is on track to fill in those missing bits.

The famous theory of relativity almost does it. What it fails to recognize is that relativity itself is also relative. I'll try to explain what I'm getting at:

When you keep digging for smaller and smaller (atoms, electrons, quarks, planks, quantum foam, etc.) There is a point, undetermined, where these "small" things are no longer small, but massively huge. It's a matter of perspective (which is also relative). Time and space, from that perspective, are also distorted...relatively. furthermore, it goes both ways. As we venture out into the vastly huge universe, at some point, undetermined, the hugeness of our universe becomes infinitely tiny. Again from another perspective. Again, at that point, time and space are also distorted...relatively.

That's what Nassim is saying. He just uses the term Higgs Boson because that's what they're looking for right now (or at the time of that video. They're trying to find "the smallest", but it doesn't exist. What they should be looking for instead is "the threshold".

Coincidentally, the same threshold will show the difference between "light" and "dark" matter because it too is relative to relativity itself.

Again, OP, this is no small everyday matter. We are discussing the Largest Machine ever created in the history of the world. This device requires the equivalent of the power of 30,000 homes for one year just to get it moving!
This is monumental to get all these folks together to build this thing. Why? To find a little particle. C'mon kids, did we fall off the turnip truck yesterday?

I was thinking about this idea that perhaps CERN is
thinking that it is dealing only with accelerating
these protons, magnetics and gravity--but in their
innocent ignorance to ALL OF THE FORCES involved in
Nature, they are leaving out a couple of very important
elements or "waves." This is uncharted territory--we
have only had 100 years plus of BASIC ELECTRICITY and
to think that just because we "can do this" that we
"should do this." It is a very egoic type of undertaking
that while exciting to discovery new rhealms of creaton
physics...it may be premature for humans and turn out to be
very short-sighted. Remember the Hindenburg? They thought
that would revolutionize air travel back in the day...

I also have read that the magnetics INSIDE CERN where
the workers, themselves, must be doing the computer
mechanics for the "runs" could affect their brains.
Can you imagine having a critical maneuver going on
and the WHOLE CREW FALLS OVER IN A DEAD FAINT?
