WinOrsa is an unstable piece of shit. The linux version is the only way to go. It's half the reason I dual boot windows and linux. I ran it through, earth is nowhere near the uncertainty region, which itself is extremely tight for this epoch even just based on amateur data alone.

Then how have amateurs been observing it since it was discovered in December? For that matter, how have amateurs observed any of a large number of asteroids for which real possibilities of impact still exist?

If even NASA cannot predict an exact path over years, then how would an amateur calculate correct future paths of objects? The fact that NASA cannot predict for sure, means that there are forces which cannot be exactly calculated. And that means that there are many uncertainties.

Observing does not implement that you know exactly what will happen. That's why you observe these kind of objects.

.00000012 can mean that somethig will hit. .00000013 could mean that it wil have a distance at least of 5 million km.

I hate it when there is a distance comparisation with our moon. Because the arrival of our moon, or lets say "the existance" of our moon can not be explained. Nor by Astromut, nor by NASA.
