I watched a star dissappear last night
I was laying in bed and staring at the sky through the window. I saw two stars that were brighter than the rest and for some reason became fixated on them. After about a minute one wobbled a bit and just dissappeared and the other renained. I watched it for a while but it seemed to be a normal star and I slowly drifted off to sleep.

Anyone else ever see anything like this?

That's what I thought at first, then I realized no other stars around it dissappeared

Could have been a bat flying backwards and forwards, before ascending in an ever-tighter spiral upwards such that it blocked your view.

Happens a lot.

The stars you can see with the naked eye are already gone.

I once saw a star drop about an inch and half in the sky to my perspective and then remain there as if that was its new place. totally amazed me.

Many have reported seeing stars move, disappear, appear out of nowhere. It's a mystery.

Yes, all the time in Alaska because it is so clear. I would lay on my car at night and look straight up and watch what seemed to be stars go clear across the heaven and just stop and park by another star.

I have one on film come out of a cloud and stop, and then go back in the cloud.

I was scanning the night sky with some bino's last year and saw a star just wink out. I took my bino's down and the stars around it were too dim to see with the naked eye.
I just shrugged it off and never mentioned it. You wouldn't believe the amount of weird stuff you can see if you just look.

Re: I watched a star dissappear last night
When I was a kid (some 40 years ago) I was watching the night sky up at our cabin.

I watched a star slowly move until in collided with another star & they both sputtered out...My brother watched it to, he saw the same thing I did.

No big kaboom or flash of light, like I said, they both just sputtered out.
