Is it a good idea to look for women that have been severely depressed?

And after the depression they have overcome it, and are stronger and better of because they had to swallow their pride and stop pointing fingers

Im laughing a bit here, when i imagine some profile on a dating site or something, or if i sit and talk to a girl on a date and i ask, so...you been severely depressed and with suicidal thoughts and all that dark stuff and addictions left and right?
And she says no, then im thinking if she is lying then she is my type, if she is not lying ill be like ok see ya
How to tell if she speaks the truth?
