Police sought the public’s help Friday to locate two men accused of using a skateboard to attack a woman in Venice.

The assault occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday at the Venice Beach Skate Park, located near Pacific and Windward avenues, according to police.

A woman recorded the assault on her cellphone and turned it into police. Her friend, Laura Lee, shared details of the graphic attack with CBS2/KCAL9.

All three victims, between 19 and 20 years old, were attacked with skateboards and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

People who live and work in Venice say fights are not uncommon, but the video from Thursday night's incident is disturbing.

"I'm just really disgusted. Skateboards aren't to be used for violence like that, and I just hope that people don't think this is what we do in Venice," said skateboarder B. Waters.

The suspects remain at large. Investigators are working to determine if the attack is gang-related.

Anyone with further information was urged to contact police.

A woman in Los Angeles was severely beaten by a large gang of black males.

She was skateboarding at Venice beach and got into an altercation then tried to walk away and was followed, according to LA CBS.

They show a video but it is so far away you can't really tell the race of the victim, although she is clearly light compected.

The report states that she has a fractured skull, broken jaw, and is in serious condition in the hospital.

Authorities said the female victim, who is in her late teens or early 20s, remains hospitalized in serious condition. She underwent surgery for a cracked skull and broken jaw.

There is a report on the exact same incident from the LA Times where they interview the alleged victim. The light skinned black woman who is being interviewed along with her very dark skinned "boyfriend" talk about the attack.

The woman does not have a mark on her face. The injuries that are shown could easily be faked.
